Queen Margrethe and her sisters attended the changing of the Royal Guards

Queen Margrethe, Princess Benedikte and Queen Anne-Marie attended the changing of the Royal Guards

When Queen Margrethe stays at Graasten Castle, the summer residence of the Royal family in Southern Jutland, the Royal Guards carry out a shift change every Friday in the castle courtyard. A small concert is also given by the Music and Drum Corps of the Royal Guards in the courtyard on Fridays after changing of the guards. ⁣On Friday July 22, three sisters, Queen Margrethe, Princess Benedikte and Queen Anne-Marie attended the changing of the Royal Guards at Graasten Castle.

  1. Souhaitons-leur un bon séjour à toutes les trois qui ont l'air heureuses de se retrouver pour l'été ; ravissante tunique imprimée très estivale chez Benedikte !

  2. So good to see the three sisters enjoying their annual summer get together.
Nice low-key summer fashion/s for the informal occasion.
Would be nice to see Queen Anne-Marie more often.

    1. Here I rather think they are on equal footing.

It is always nice to see the sisters together. Although all look dressed appropriately, I prefer Queen Margrethe's white sweater, denim pants, and red shoes. The close-up of QM is delightful. Love her blue earrings. (Debra)

How wonderful to see the 3 royal sisters together! Am I the only one who loves seeing Queen Margrethe is wearing jeans? She looks fabulous--I would love to have her sweater and the red shoes are a great pop of vibrant color. Lovely, elegant as always Princess Benedikte is almost like a peacock (and I don't mean that as anything negative) with her bright summery colors. Queen Anne Marie looks wonderful in her blue and white ensemble--it is wonderful to see she is able to join her sisters this summer (I think this might be the first time in a couple of years?).

Two Queens and a Pss. Always nice to see the three sisters together. King Constantin of Greece must be feeling better, so Anne Marie could travel to Denmark. Benedikte is always the best dressed. css

    1. With all respect @css, I think there is a mistake in your comment.
It is, in fact, three queens. Not two and a Princess.
1/ Margrethe - Queen of Denmark
      2/ Anne-Marie - Queen of Greece
3/ Benedikte - Queen of Class.

  7. Benediktes shoes do NOT go wth what she s wearing. It would have looked far better with something like the moccasins that Queen Margethe is wearing or even flat plimsols.

  9. How lovely the Royal ladies are together. We rarely get to see them dressed casual. Pss Bene IMO looks great, she looks elegant in whatever she wears.

A lovely picture. Princess Benedicte as always the most wonderful outfit. But can I say something about the way Annemarie is adressed. She is a Danish princess so nobility and can be addressed as such but sorry since 1967!! she is not a queen anymore.

You may be correct in saying that Anne-Marie is no longer a Queen.
But I understand that she (and her husband) can still use their titles.
      See the following....
"This ensues from the Treaty of Vienna, 1815, whereby titles are maintained for life, even when the status ceases to be active". .
