  1. Nice to see young Alexandra experimenting with fashion but as a german my first association was Langnese Icecream "Ed v. Schleck"

The youngers google and you will see...
I don't have one good comment to make.Never saw so much kitsch in one photo..
If something is Haute couture doesn't automatically means it is tastefull..
    How pity...

In "the good old days" the photos usually included only princess Grace and sometimes princess Antoinette (Rainier's sister) as Albert & Caroline started to attend when 16-18 years. Now without Stephanie's family there are already 10 persons. Better possibilities to have more "non-elegant" dresses.

Oh dear...Charlotte's and Princess Caroline's are gowns dreadful. I also do not like Charlotte's 1920s-esq hairstyle--it is not flattering to her at all. Coco Chanel is spinning in her grave! The lighting isn't doing Tatiana Santo Domingo any favors and, while generally I really love Temperley gowns, I can't say that about this one. I have a feeling it looks much better in person but in these pictures--I do not like it. Princess Alexandra really went all out for a ball gown and for a Monaco-themed ball gown at that. I so want to love it, even like it. But that dropped waist. At least she tried and she does look cute--had that waist been at the natural waistline, I would have been ecstatic. Finally, at least we have Beatrice Borromeo. In the 2 photos we have I think she looks fabulous--elegant and beautiful in a column-style gown. So wish Princess Charlene had attended!

    1. @Janet : On another site there is a back view of the gown worn by Beatrice Borromeo. Whilst the front gives covering from neck to floor, the gown is backless to the waist.
Princess Alexandra's dress reminds me of a lollipop that we used to buy in candy stores. Too much of a little girl look.

Well, where to start! Princess Alexandra’s dress is simply stunning and totally eclipses every other outfit. A real Princess dress. Next, for me, is Tatiana Casiraghi. She has so upped her game recently. Beatrice is never anything other than elegant but I’m not so keen on the high neck of the gown. Someone said in another post that Chanel no longer design lovely clothes and this is a case in point. Charlotte’s dress is okay but a little too like a nightdress and Caroline with the hobble skirt! Just why?

Charlotte and Beatrice are my 2 favorite dresses. Tatiana I wouldn’t wear but suits her. Don’t really like pss Caroline dress, a bit ageing (moreover her hair color adds to this fact) but her jewels are stunning. Definitely dislike Alexandra’s gown. For me all wrong and it’s seems she stole some flags 🙈she probably dreamed of beatrice’s red dress from few years ago (she was stunning probably one of my fave ever on her)
But she’s not Beatrice (and I think even on B this dress would be a miss)

Charlotte's dress does not flatter her chest. Alex perhaps too much volume.

If you don't say where is Daniel when Victoria is alone or where is Kate when William is alone why do you feel it's appropriate to ask where is Charlene?

Hmm...did you ask where is Albert when Charlene visited maternity ward of the Princess Grace Hospital Center? No? Why not? Anna.

Caroline doesn't invite her and Albert thinks Caroline has older rights. The elites don't care - only the friends of decency bark.

As always Charlene doesn't attend as she hasn't done since 2013 so not quite sure why anybody thought it would be any different this year. However, as the spouse of the Sovereign she could attend if she wanted and needs no invitation from Princess Caroline, who has overseen this event for nearly 40 years now.

When Prince Albert was not married yet to Princess Charlene, Princess Caroline organized the Rose ball every year and she is still organizing it now. I don't know what is happening in this family but Princess Stephanie was most of the time present too. Now nobody of her family was there. In the beginning of her marriage Princess Charlene did went to the ball a couple of times I think, but then all of a sudden she didn't attend anymore. There were roamers in those days that she and Caroline didn't get along quite well. Royal families like any other family have their troubles too. Nobody better than the family members themselves know what is really going on. All what outsiders do is guessing (the media in the 1st place).

Stephanie attended to support her father - she has been quite open about the fact that she doesn't enjoy these formal affairs any more. The FightAids gala which she attends is much more casual (and always leads to rude comments on this and other sites).

Agree with most of the comments above. To summarize, all of the dresses are a disappointment, but with the exemption of Alexandra’s which has a wow factor and is my favorite of them all. All in!

Rose Ball 2022. Sadly Pss Charlene was not in place. To the fashions not all that stunning this year. I don't much care for this gown on Caroline, the pattern and color are OK, but the style not so much. Charlotte's gown reminded me on a nightgown, not to well fitted, her husband is in need of a haircut and a beard trim, this is OMO of course.Beatrice gown is lacking the sparkle this year.Tatianas gown reminded me of a Disco ball to much shine. Pss Alexandra's gown shows the colors of Monaco, red and white, she looks lovely, the top is not well fitting. The men looked good. Every man looks good in a black suit or a Tux, Hope everyone there had a great time. josebabe

Well everything has been said here. Generally it was what I thought too. The only dress that could have been beautiful is Charlotte's. Not like it is now but in one piece without the short bodice and without the black bow. The white fabric looks very delicate with the little crystals sewed upon it. The theme of the ball was the year 1920 and has been inspired by Christian Louboutin, a personal friend of Princess Caroline. He is the man dressed like some sort of clown (next to Caroline on picture N°2)

The family only respects Caroline. The whole family takes part in this "bullying".This looks comparable to the BRF as far as Diana or Harry is concerned.

I think Charlotte and Tatiana are ok. What a lily-pop if a dress on Alexandra, gives me a headache just looking at it. Caroline isn’t at her best either. Beatriz looks good, but a greay dress isn’t very flattering on anyone’s skin. She looks the best of the bunch, both she’s certainly done better before. And her forced posture isn’t flattering either.

  15. I do miss the grand old days of Princess Grace. There was class, there was elegance, there was style. All gone. Princess Alexandra of Hanover is trying a little, at least she carries the Monegasque colours in that huge ball-gown. I try to figure out the outfit of Beatrice Borromeo-Casiraghi, normally she's the one coming closest to that old glam. And - strangely so - I find myself declaring Tatiana Santo Domingo-Casiraghi best dressed lady of that event.

    1. Yes, you can add Princess Stephanie and her family to the "gone-missing-without-trace" list.
Maybe she is away on holiday with her family. I'm sure Princess Stephanie supports 100% the charity side of the event but after that, I don't think it's her cup of tea.

  23. For me, Alexandra is always Gigi in the midst of a bevy of courtesans, lol. Fresh-faced and cute as a button. The older ladies seem fine with letting her enjoy the spotlight on this occasion in her jaw-dropping ballgown, which stands out all the more given the comparatively low-key colors and silhouettes of the others' gowns. Imo Caroline's drab, extremely unflattering outfit ages her severely, while at the other end of the spectrum Charlotte's getup has a teenage vibe (its top looks like a babydoll nightie). I agree with the person who commented that Tatiana has upped her game in recent times; instead of consistently turning up in what look like quirky thrift-store finds, she has been looking much more chic. If her hair had been styled in a beautiful updo, and had she gone in for a touch of evening drama in the makeup dept, she would have really stunned here. Beatrice exudes class and elegance as usual; it would have been lovely if her gown had been a luscious color but hey, she had her Wow moment in that red mega-ballgown a handful of years ago; perhaps she thought it was little sister-in-law's turn to be the center of attention :-).

I am not a fan of the dresses worn by P. Caroline (material, print and pattern look dread-full), P. Alexandra (too big and too much, it swallows her completely) or Charlotte (everything is just totally wrong here). ~MS~

I very much like Alexandra's dress and I think she looks great but I cannot see what link it has in any way to the 1920s theme. I do see the link to the theme in Caroline's gown - the style is reminiscent of the early 1920s - although it is quite dark. Charlotte's could work but I've seen her in better outfits, I like Tatiana's but would prefer an updo. I don't like Beatrice's dress - the fabric reminds me of curtains- although it is a flattering cut on her and hair and make up look lovely.
