Lovely! Glad to see that the two older children got to go on this visit and they definitely seem to be having a fun time. :)
(I've been to Cardiff Castle and it is a fun place. Lots to see and do for all ages on a regular day, and even more today given the special celebrations).

Beautiful look from the Duchess--gorgeous coat! Love the ponytail today--probably a nice change for her from the updos of the past 2 days. Perfect twinning from William and George--only difference are their shirts. Princess Charlotte is so cute and pretty in her coat. Charlotte seems to be very much enjoying herself with the musicians. Beautiful family!

I love D. Catherine’s red coat. It’s a real splash of colour against the blue tones the rest of the family wore. It was a good idea to bring Charlotte along with George. I think being the only child in a large group would seem quite daunting. This way they can relate to the proceedings and enjoy them together. (V.M.)

I love Charlotte's reaction in the next to last photo. What a sweet shot. Not sure that George is enjoying the event as much as his sister, but he is a handsome young man. I love Catherine's red coat, her pony tail, and her simple earrings. (Debra)

  8. Little Charlotte always puts a smile on my face, she always has the best facial expressions. They all look great. Love DoC red coat, and her ponytail is perfect. Always love seeing the kids, they are so cute.

Nice color coat, but a little plain, maybe a brooch would have, been nice. What a nice surprise to see George and Charlotte at this event.

The younger generation do not like brooches very much, whether they are queens, princesses, or common people.

  10. Catherine's dress coat is superb for this occasion. Like the neckline and the center split at the bottom which gives this classic style a twist.. The color is just right for she stands out in any crowd (as the Queen tends to wear bright colors, for the most part, for this reason). William and George are dressed alike and Charlotte's coat is great too. It's good that the two children are included for, most likely, there may never be another Platinum Jubilee, not in our lifetimes anyway if ever. They will remember this. And they are at the age where they must be introduced to what their future lives, with all its expectations and responsibilities, will be.

@ Beverly24. I completely agree with the last sentence of your comment. On the other hand there are countries and people who are against the fact that princes and princesses from a young age on are "introduced to what their future lives will be". Some think one should let them be children as long as possible (even if they are already 18 years old).

its a warm summer's day, the long coat was not necessary.
George looks bored. Charlotte is more enthusiastic

It isn't that warm and everybody feels temperature differently. She's perfectly entitled to wear on a coat on a breezy overcast day when the temperature wasn't above 20 degrees.

I love Catherine's red coat. A different collar and a beautiful color bringing a nice change. But what a pity it is too long again. Even if it looks like it is not very warm today, a shorter coat during spring is not exaggerated. The length ruins the beauty of the coat. Some of Charlotte's facial expressions are exactly the same as her great grandma the Queen. It looks like George is not enjoying the visit as much as his sister does.

I think it depends on which photos you see. He’s clearly enjoying himself in many! I think it’s also a bit overwhelming with so many people watching you :) Sue

  13. Superbe couleur rouge dans ce manteau que je trouve quand même un peu trop long ; les enfants ont l'air de s'amuser particulièrement Charlotte qui montre plus son enthousiasme !

      You are right, Ava.
The Cambridges look stunning, even though I would have preferred a shorter lenght for Kate's coat.
The pony tail is a stunning change in hairstyle for the Duchess.
Love Charlotte's look on the 6th pic,
      just priceless.

A confident and beautiful family. Relaxed and happy, although today is actually work and not skiing.
