The dress is lovely, the shoes and purse not so much. Did not like the shoes/purse first time she used them, still don't like them. jj

I agree. The purse really don't match neither the dress nor the shoes. Se should have worn a pair of black patent leather shoes/sandals with this dress and a clutch in the same color or one of the colors in her dress.

I agree. The dress is splendid on her. I like the idea of yellow shoes, but these look a bit too square and clunky. Espadrilles or a low, block-heeled pump would look better than these I think. As for the bag, it competes with the dress doesn’t it? (V.M.)

I agree. I like the dress, it suits her well. I don’t really like the shoes and even less the purse that she has previously used on the 3rd Royal Garden Party of 2022 :

  2. Nice dress, but too long on Sophie. I don´t mind the shoes but dislike the bag.

  4. why oh why those horrible shoes. The dress is lovely. But her hair looks kind of greasy.

  5. I do like some print dresses, but not most. If you look at recent photos of the Duchess of Cambridge in her usually solid color clothing along side other female members of the family in printed dresses, you can see what I mean.

Some printed patterns against the face or in an entire outfit are aging, turning a 30-something into a pensioner. Sleeve length is also a consideration. *Regina

The Countess looks summery fresh and beautiful! Guess I'm the lone poster who likes Sophie's shoes and I can see why she paired them with the Etro dress. There are flowers in the dress that look to be the same color as her shoes. Not sure I would have then selected the basket purse--I probably would have stayed in the same color family with the shoes. One thing I would have told her to do was remove the necklace--its totally lost in the pattern of the dress.

I do like the dress, not a fan of the bag and shoes, but color wise they match.

The shoes are the best part of this outfit. (Just me)

  9. This dress is pretty, I don't normally like flower patterned fabric, but this is the exception. The shoes and bag IMO don't gel well, but that's just me, regardless she looks lovely,.

The second photo, the necklace was in a rather awkward position, she should have left it at home, as well as the shoes and bag, neither of which are, well dare I say both are ugly and out of place, looks rather tacky.

  12. Great dress and I really like those shoes with it - they are unusual, different and a lovely asset to the whole outfit.

The Countess seems to be pretty happy since taking over more and more royal Commitments from HM the Queen. She looks radient and content. Great.
