Normally, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (Kungl. Vetenskapsakademien) holds its formal gathering on March 31 each year, which is the anniversary of the adoption of the Academy's basic rules in 1741. The event could not be held in the last two years and postponed to June this year due to the pandemic.

Queen Silvia is lovely in her red lace-overlay gown. Wish we had a closer looks at her jewels which, on my screen, they appear to be pearls. King Carl Gustaf looks handsome in his tux, as always. (Debra)

He is not wearing a tux.

Forgive my ignorance for calling tails a tux. I don't see many of either so can't differentiate. I appreciate your correction. (Debra)

Although, she is beautiful , she has worn this dress many times before, I can't read always the same comments anymore, even the jewelry is coming back, today this brooch, next week the same necklace she was wearing 3 weeks ago etc...

Queen Silvia wears jewelry from her and the royal family's collection and not cheap bling-bling like Victoria and Maxima or buy and buy new jewels like Mary and Kate .
Queen Elizabeth always wears the same pearls and earrings for all day events. . True royal style.
Queen Silvia looks lovely in this eed gown ❤️.
Why do you think you need to make a comment Anonymous 13:19🙄.

I agree with everything and I know all that. It are the comments I don't like sometimes. If I remember correctly It was not that long we saw Queen Silvia in that red dress, but some of the bloggers talk about it as if she is wearing a new dress, the same about the jewelry. It sounds a bit unreal, not very realistic, not honest, fake, etc...
