On June 20, 2022, Queen Sonja of Norway presented The Queen Sonja Print Awards (QSPA) 2022 at MUNCH (Munch Museum) in Bjørvika, Oslo. The Foundation behind the Queen Sonja Print Awards aim to generate interest in and promote the development of graphic art. The three awards are presented biyearly.
This year, the winners of the awards are: Sami artist Meerke Vekterli (QSPA Inspirational Award), French-Moroccan artist Yto Barrada (Queen Sonja Print Award), South African artist William Kentridge (QSPA Lifetime Achievement Award).
I like Queen Sonja's outfit very much. The jacket is lovely, the pink is fresh, and the geometric print gives the fabric a nice texture. I'd have liked to have seen it all in brighter lights or even in daylight than a darkened stage - for better effect.
