Agree. When I saw the first photo before I read the captions, I thought it was Camilla! 😂

@Anon. 27/6/22 21:51 A thinner version of Camilla. Jill Biden is a good looking woman. Looks young for her age Camilla could learn a lot of things from her.

Perhaps Jill Biden was in a plane for awhile and the skirt got wrinkled .

I'm glad Leti has a modified version of the dress. Can you imagine if she showed up in the version the model is wearing with all the ruffles and "meringue" around the bottom? LOL.

Actually It is the typical Spanish flamenca gown, worn by the aristocracy at some ferias. The ignorance sometimes is terrible. They cost even 6.000 euros and are handmade and bespoke.

Meringue?? Europa? Have you ever been in Andalucia? Obviously not where the wealthy people are...

    4. The so-called "flamenco dress" is the result of the evolution of the percale dresses with ruffles on the skirt worn by Andalusian gypsy women when they went to the cattle fairs who took place in villages and towns. In the 1920s, this dress, made of higher quality fabrics and adorned with lace, became fashionable among young women from aristocratic and wealthy families who attended the fairs which, without losing their original character as a market for the sale and purchase of livestock, had become a social and festive event. The fashion spread among young women of all social classes and nowadays the vitality of the flamenco dress is evident in the fact that it is subject to changes in fashion and every year designers and firms present their proposals for de fair season in specialised fashion shows.

Red suit is nice but I bet it was very hot with the long sleeves. QL must have an excellent seamstress that alters her clothing to perfection.

    1. Supongo que tendrá costurera pero, en esta ocasión, el modisto José Hidalgo hizo el vestido de la Reina a medida.

It is a bespoke dress by José Hidalgo, a designer from Sevilla-Andalucia. Actually most people do not understand a Word , however they speak.....

I never liked those flamenco dresses not in the past and not today. José Hidalgo might be a famous designer in Spain and in Spanish speaking countries, but I have never heard of him. (I'm not British).

Very nice dress of Q Letizia. She can wear just about anything and look great.

-Dorothe-

I do not agree with that. Why a 1st lady cannot wear red when visiting a queen ? But a queen when visiting a 1st lady can wear red. (Queen Maxima in Austria). I think there is no protocol that says we cannot wear red when visiting a monarchy.

  9. This dress is lovely, simple, elegant and refined. Suits the Queen perfectly, It fits so well, lovely clean cut lines. Love the black shoes. I am not so sure about Jill Biden's outfit. Stiff and inflexible come to mind when looking at it. It actually looks a little uncomfortable. Regardless of my thoughts, the color suits her beautifully. Love her shoes.

  10. The Queen looks her usual "Stunning" perfect cut and fit for her.

  11. I still think that Dr. Biden's outfit is not well suited for a visit to hot and dry Spain/Madrid. The fabric is too heavy and gives me more autumnal/wintery vibes.
