A short jacket and a short skirt don't always work well together. Had the First Lady's skirt been just an inch or two longer the total outfit would look more balanced and stunning. I love the cream top and silver/platinum skirt combo. I would have gone with a simple metallic choker rather than the brooch, which to me interrupts the simplicity of the lovely top.

Interesting timing for this meeting, given the political situation at the moment. I think both ladies look great. The colour of Q. Silvia’s suit is very flattering, although once again the fabric is a bit too shiny. (V.M.)

    1. According to the King´s address, this state visit had been planned for a long time but was postponed due to corona restrictions. Now it seems to coincide with both nations jointly applying to join Nato (which I think is not really a coincidence).

This visit had been planned for a long time, the President's office informed when it was first postponed due to Covid-19.

I think the First Lady looks good, but the colors are off (at least on my screen). Her top is white with blue trim, her skirt is a silvery gray, and her shoes are gold. That being said, her hair is well done, and her makeup is very nice. Her brooch's features are hard to make out, but I note that both she and Queen Silvia are wearing the tiny brooch signifying Ukraine. The Queen's suit is very pretty and the color looks better than in the earlier post when she wore the hat and cape. Her smile is always radiant.

  4. Nice outfits for both but wish the First Lady's skirt was just a couple of inches longer. Loke the fabric of the skirt and the pleated style. Shoes are lovely.

Love Queen Silvia's suit minus the hat. It looks very elegant and she looks beautiful in it. I wish the First Lady had continued to wear her arrival outfit as I don't like this second choice too much. I like the jacket and skirt but not together--both are beautiful items but together they do not work. Still, she is such a stylish lady I cannot wait to see what else she will show us over the course of the visit.

The first lady's outfit is not well put together. The jacket is nice but don't match the skirt. The skirt is too short. The silvery gray of the skirt don't match the gold shoes. Black pants would have been better or a black pencil skirt. The queen is elegant as usual.

  7. Both ladies look very elegant.
This strong colour looks wonderful on the Queen, not like the dusty rose tone of her evening dress.

  9. Queen Silvia looks lovely, the suit/skirt/dress (I'm not sure which) looks very elegant, the only thing I don't like is the shiny material. Regardless her accessories are great, and the jewellery she choose looks good. The first lady looks well groomed. I like her jacket very much but not with this skirt, the length does not blend in well with the overall look. The gold shoes also appear out of place, but no matter my thoughts she looks terrific.
