It's better than the cropped pants I notice three of the ladies are wearing. Makes women's legs look short & stubby. *Regina

    2. And why not? The dress is simple but nice and fits her well and red is one of her favourite colours.

    3. I am aware that cropped trousers are not popular on this site; yes, they don't fit all women, particularly not the short ones. But I am all for open-mindedness and think they can be quite nice for thin and tall women particularly for summer clothing. For me the light blue suit of the lady on pic1 is perfect and she looks great.

Looking wonderful as ever. Red is a great colour on her and I like the simple lines of this dress.

In the end Queen Letizia's red dresses are becoming like a uniform. I know red is her color, but she must be careful not to wear too much red. It is becoming a bit boring.

    1. Dear Anon 18 07, how can red dresses ever become boring?? I just don't believe it's possible! :-)

    2. Anonymous9/5/22 21:35

She wears red because It is the colour of Spain , when the event is centered in the country. So she Will wear red...

    3. Anonymous9/5/22 21:46

Too much red? You obviously have no idea why she wears that colour. It represents Spain.
      Actually the ignorance is boring.

    4. Anonymous10/5/22 07:08

Well no, I didn't know that she was wearing red because it is the color of Spain. Someone is not ignorant because he/she don't know the little details of a country. I know that Maxima sometimes wears orange for certain festivities in the Netherlands. If someone in the public eye wears most of the time the same color it is becoming boring. That is my opinion.

Anon 21:46 - why would you expect everyone to know red represents Spain? You could just simply explain - another person informed.

Actually the constant aggressive rudeness on this forum is also boring.

P the original - I made one comment, a reply to Anon 21.46 who was unnecessarily rude. So no, I don't find everything boring on this blog, just the people who always have to be rude... Why should someone be expected to know red represents Spain? If you want someone to be aware just give the information instead of making snarky comments about "ignorance"?

And I didn't sign my incredibly interesting comment because I don't have to - despite the notice to the contrary they get published anyway. But as you appear to require a signature:

Always interesting and rarely bored by this blog.

  4. Gorgeous red dress. Described as fit and flare and it does that wonderfully. . I know others disagree but I'm not a great fun of the Queen's overly toned arms but that's not the fault of the dress. Great look

It's a lovely dress in a superb red colour
But I don't like Letizia in a dress with no sleeves. I am sorry to say She's working out a lot in the gym apparently, which is very healthy of course, but I don' t like all those muscels on these thin arms

Totally agree with you, Anonymous 9/5/22 20:42; however, sometimes to me it makes a difference which colour sleeveless dress the queen is wearing, as I didn't mind the arms that much with the black/white dress she wore lately

Loved this dress the first time and still do, it shows her athletic figure and adds a little volume on the hip area. She has incredibly toned arms. I truly love them. Good complements and the hair is healthy and full.

@Anon 23:58 You deserve to be called out. Where was your 'anonymous' comment the last two times Letizia was on this blog? How did you come to this realization? She was sleeveless in the black and white Mango. She regularly shows her figure. Why is she now "far too thin and bordering on an anorexia look"? Working out does not make her look anorexic. It is keeping her from having an unnecessary build up of fat on her body. Her skin is not bagging and sagging like most women her age (and much younger to be truthful) because she has taken such good care of herself. She is not body building, she is toning. There is a very big difference. As for your uneducated remarks regarding Letizia having an eating disorder, I would suggest that you do some research before you throw around a word that is as big, powerful, and triggering as anorexia. It is a VERY serious disease that can result in death at its worst. It can cause permanent damage to the body. It is very difficult to treat and even when under control, can flair up again. If Letizia had an eating disorder, she would not have that muscle tone in her arms. She would be malnourished and be unable to build muscle. She would most likely be losing muscle due to inactivity because her stamina would be affected by not having enough energy from food. She would be more tired. I hope I have made my point. If a man had a body without excess fat and toned muscles, women would be swooning. We have become accustomed to women getting bat wings and wearing longer sleeves "at a certain age" to hide them. The last person we should be judging is the one that takes care of her body. I hope you will revise your last statement from "...just being truthful." to "I was ignorant about this." The next time you make bold accusations, please have the courage to sign your name. ~d

I do not know why a comment like this is allowed, anorexia is a very difficult disease, not a thing to speak about without knowledge.

She will never have the courage to sign her comment and even in that case she would change nicks, opinions and languages.
It is crystal clear that she brings here her hate and I am pretty sure she feels frustrated seeing what royal ladies are and have.
She Is here and there to stir the point relentlessly and nothing more.
I bet she has a lot to take care of about herself before talking down other women.

@Anonymous 9/5/22 23:58: of course you can have an opinion about something/someone, but please don't play doctor; neither you nor I are justified in doing so. It can be dangerous and harmful and above all this is a fashion blog.

I indeed want to think you didn't want to do any harm with this post, but in my opinion it's not a good idea.

Just another reader of this blog

@Anon 12:29 You don't have to like me or my opinions, but you picked the wrong time to call me out. You know nothing about me or my experiences. Do not assume I am not justified in my opinions. What I have been leaving out each time I speak out against these asinine accusations is that I have struggled with anorexia for over 40 years, starting in my teens, and that is hard for me to share. I am sharing it now because there is a need for education about this. I have had years of good health, and I have had some set backs. I have gone through treatment, and things that are said on this blog are triggering. It is never okay to casually throw out eating disorder accusations. I don't know how long you have been coming here, but this used to be a very different place. The dialog was once about fashion, rarely going off in other directions, and comments were deleted for being inappropriate. It is a very different vibe now. If you had a regular signature, it would be easier to follow your thoughts. ~d

23:58 Letizia es delgada por naturaleza.
Lo que ella hace es tonificar su cuerpo para no verse descuidada. Que a su edad se mantenga así es un gran logro.
Otras no lo logran y se nota.

I am the original anonymous and I sincerely apologize. I should never have used the “A” word - it was terribly insensitive. I meant that she is very thin. Several years ago the contributors to this blog were concerned that she had become too thin and it was pointed out that she was going through a very difficult time due to the death of her sister.
Also, I hit the wrong selection, “anonymous,” but gee I’m glad I did!
      Please do accept my apology.
