On May 24, 2022, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia attended the school project Catwalk Live which is a manifestation for everyone's right to shine at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm. Glada Hudik Theater, together with 9,000 students and teachers as well as people from the business community, held a demonstration named Catwalk Live. The event took place in collaboration with the Tim Bergling Foundation.

The students recognize the models from the film and during the event, they saw them for real when they perform their catwalk, just as they did during New York Fashion Week. With the same clothes, choreography and music.

the little bag is very nice and fashionable but has absolutely nothig to do with the outfit of Sofia: style means also knowing how to mix elements in the right way, and royals often fail in this.

    1. I disagree. The dress and bag are both perfect retro 1970, I love it.

@caune: its not a matter of what period they remind of. As someone else wrote, crochet and lace dont go together.

    3. G, They went together in the late 60's and early 70's. Very hippie chic.

I think it is a lovely dress. In fact, I think Princess Marie has recently worn a series of fabulous dresses and gowns. Prince Carl Philip looks very handsome. Both he and Princess Marie are very compassionate with everyone they meet. They are one of my favorite royal couples. (Debra)

      Marie? You mean Sofia.

    2. Debra I think you are slightly confused. Sofia is Carl Phillip's wife not Marie. Marie is the wife Of the Danish queens second son.

Her name is Sofia and not Marie..
Princess Marie is married to Prince Joakim from Denmark…

Really like this dress. Looks comfy and cute.

    As for her accessory game?

Well, it’s really not fair to make me choose between Carl Philip and her fab granny square purse. There is only one CP in the world, but I can crochet my own purse, so there’s that…

  7. Nothing impresses me here in the way of fashion, although this is a fashion event (I think?). I´m puzzled by this event and the photos. I really don´t know what this is.

Glada Hudik is a theater company where the majority of the participants are intellectually disabled. This production was created around a dream of one of the members. Her dream was to be a photo model. It was made into a movie ending with a catwalk at the fashion week in New York. The catwalk in NY actually happened. The only fashion needing comment is that of Sofia and I personally do not like her lace dress. Ladyofthemanor

Seems Sofia was equally confused, Vanessa. As are we all.

I don’t think Sophia ever demonstrated a true sense of style. Sometimes her choices seemed closer to the expectations of an event, but I believe that was sheer luck. Most times she seemed confused (purposely choosing a mild word). For a woman with a good body structure (which she certainly is aware of), she bewilders me how little ‘instinct’ she has for style.

I guess you can’t teach that.

I agree with you Mabel. Sofia looks wonderful and that playful purse nails it. It is so suitable to the occasion. I'm sure that they all had a wonderful time together and it's heart warming to look at the photo where a girl is giving a hug to Sofia. One can easily understand why the nordic people are so happy people. They know how to be relaxed and playful and the fashion is not so important.

  10. Joli modèle de robe bien porté mais je ne peux pas dire que le sac soit bien en accord ; pourquoi donc Sofia n'a pas gardé sa couleur de cheveux naturelle ?!

I think Princess Sofia has done very well. She has chosen a pretty dress which complements those of the students, but without over shadowing their lovely outfits. Her interaction with the young people dressed in their finest is lovely.
I would love to know the back story about the bag. As others have observed it has no link with her outfit, so I am guessing there is another reason for her choice.

Pretty dress that fits beautifully. Only misstep is the purse--it just doesn't go with this dress. CP is looking handsome as always.

  14. The Princess looks lovely but I don't like heavy lace dresses. The bag I don't like either, regardless she interacted with this group of students beautifully, warm, engaging and smiling. How splendid that the students were able to dress up and meet the Royal couple, well done.

  15. Well done Sofia! she was wearing a nice dress, that was not outshining the fabulous dresses of the students and models in the catwalk. There's a story behind the little crochet purse. Carl and Sofia are a lovely couple.

Most people here doesn't seem to understand the meaning of this event. They are not dressed up for the prince couple but for their own cat walk demonstration. The prince couple is dressed up for them! Are you just looking at the photos and not reading what it is about? Just me

Where is Princess Sofia claw? Her very own style, decision, power...

Not impressed with this dress worn by PS; sleeves and skirt are too long and bag misplaced (crochet and lace don't mix well). Maybe if there had been a belt, the look would have improved a bit for me.

Is it possible that it was a gift from some one, who especialy made it for her. And therefore she is using to show her appreciation!!
