In the evening of May 5, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima attended 2022 Liberation Day concert held as part of the national celebrations of the liberation. The concert traditionally takes place on and around the Amstel River in front of the Royal Theater Carré.
For the first time since the outbreak of the corona pandemic, the commemoration and celebration took place again in regular form. In the Netherlands, Liberation Day (Bevrijdingsdag) is annually celebrated on May 5 to commemorate the end of the occupation by Nazi Germany during the World War II.

I wouldn't mind if the feathers weren't there, but on the other hand they add some querkyness to the dress. Overall I feel QM looks gorgeous and the updo looks so much better compared to how she'd her hair previously when she wore this dress.

Oh no--I had hoped Maxima had forgotten about this dress. There is nothing I like about it and those sleeves are a horror. On the positive side--her hair is beautifully styled and her earrings are great. Janet

He does think she has lovely hair, however. ردحذفJe n'arrive pas à trouver ce que viennent faire ces poignets de plumes ; je ne pense pas que cela apporte quoique ce soit à son look - Elle est très savamment coiffée ; Willem-Alexander est élégant dans son costume bleu-marine et sa cravate aux petits motifs !
Queen Maxima looks beautiful. This dress suits her so well. Her shoes and clutch are a great color and work in well with this dress. Her hair and makeup is perfect.

Her cheerful and engaging character is the best feature.
