On May 4, 2022, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark officially boarded the royal yacht Dannebrog at the Nordre Toldbod Cruise Port in Copenhagen to start the new royal cruise season. The Queen attended a ceremony to say goodbye to the city's port authority and mark the beginning of the sailing season of the royal yacht Dannebrog. Dannebrog is celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2022.

When the Queen is on summer cruise, the approximately 80-meter-long royal yacht serves as the Queen's residence, and during this year's two summer cruises, the Queen will traditionally hold receptions around the harbors. The tradition of the Dannebrog cruises goes back 80 years to Christian X, who was the first king to make annual cruises in Danish waters as a fixed part of his program.

    1. Queen Margrethe knows how to dress for the occasion.
And she also seems so happy doing her job.

  10. A bit of a break from fashion.
If you have the time and if you are interested in magnificent yachts, take a look at the video of the Royal Yacht Dannebrog.
It is a video done about 15 years ago ?? . Queen Margrethe is wearing a classic red blazer and many photos of Prince Henri and a very young Prince Frederik with Princess Mary.
The video is almost one hour long and perhaps like me, you'll need a good pot of tea to keep you going and with help from a tea cosy to keep the tea warm.
The video is not in English, but it's nice to see the photos.
