Not to be rude, but... So what??! They're wearing what they're comfortable wearing. Why this obsession among commenters here for dressing for a certain season or - horrors - dark colors? We see an assortment of different colors; I would hate to see a parade of all pink & blue pastels, it would look silly. *Regina

Agree with Regina but actually I disagree about the season - I think they are all dressed for spring.

Kate and Will leading the way is what the future looks like, and they don’t have the magic that the queen or Diana had. Quite boring without the queen.

Happy Easter at Windsor. All of them look splended. Glad Duchess Catherine is back to her signature uniform, fits her like a glove and skyiceblue is a fresh colour. All in all exceptional as always. Marie

Zara Tindall wears this polkadot much better than the model.

No she does not, the model is thinner.

And thinner must always look better?! In my opinion this type of retro dress actually looks better on a woman with curves, so I agree with YA that it looks better on Zara.

Great to see Kate head of the pack. That is one classy look - love that coat weve seen before. Slightly disappointed in the bandeau - for me it clashes with the rest of the outfit - would have preferred a proper hat, along with some royal bling from HM.
Sophie looks very Sophie - nice but predictable but good to see a classy rewear. Hat is a also a rewear - from 2013!
Lady Louise looks very grown-up especially in her high heels. Nice dress. Hat looks good (but scared its a loan from the Duchess of Gloucester who has a penchant for an oversized beret!!)
Eugenie - nice but nothing special.
Zara looks good in this LK Bennett dress- nice shorter length, and great matching hat. Personally not keen on the block heels - look more workwear - would prefer either something more delicate, or retro to go with the dress.

The families looked lovely, classic spring colored frocks and head pieces. The men looked dapper in their suits. Lady Sarah Chatto was especially pretty in her frock.

  7. The Cambridges look adorable. And so do Sophie and young Lady Louise.

Kate : what an amazing outfit. The colour is so very good on her and gives a real spring feeling. And then the model of this dress-coat. The knee length and wonderful circle skirt makes her fragile figure look so very elegant. Charlotte: love this classic dresses for young girls. Rest of the ladies, sorry, too much flower prints and long frumpy dresses

  10. The strange thing about Lady Louise is that she has gone from dressing too young for her age to dressing too old. She looks like she borrowed her clothes from someone 30+ years older.

I was thinking the same about Lady Louise. She is always dressed too old for her age. Does her mother don't see that ?

      Delete
    2. Louise still has university ahead of her, but if she wants and chooses, she would be ideal as a working member of the Royal Family in the foreseeable future. She is already showing that the right qualities are within her. She was very close to her grandfather, Prince Philip and spoke movingly of him in the filmed family tribute to him that was aired on the BBC.

All you write about Lady Louise is correct but that is no reason to dress like someone who could be her grandmother. The hat is a disaster !

  11. They all look nice and dressed to their individual styles for the Easter Sunday service.

That said, you can really see how the solid color that Catherine is wearing stands out in a regal manner as opposed to the various prints on the other ladies.

      You are so correct.
Too busy prints or shiny fabrics never photograph well and many gals dont think about that when choosing an outfit.
      Catherine's solid color is perfect.

Although she is dressed in her usual style Duchess Catherine, except for the silly bandeau, is the best dressed here. All the other ladies wear dresses to go to the local market on a sunny morning. All are wearing stupid little hats or silly bandeau's. I wonder why Princess Charlotte must still wear a smocked dress, the same style she wore when she was 2 years old. The light blue panties are not lovely. She should have worn white socks like the other little girls in the group.

Smocked dresses are perfectly acceptable for little girls of Charlotte's age. Panties are not what you appear to think they are - I think the light blue tights look fine with the dress.

In my country children wear modern clothes. If a girl of the age of Charlotte would wear a dress like hers she would be criticized by her friends and laughed out. We are living in the 21st century. There are beautiful dresses, skirts, coats, shoes, etc.. for girls of that age.

    4. Anonymous19/4/22 07:20

Fortunately in the UK little girls of Charlotte's age can still dress like a little girl without being laughed at. It's a classic little girl's dress not a crinoline or bustle.

  14. The Cambridges look great, color-coordinated and all that; the flowery dresses far less of a success, I think...especially Louise's, I think it looks a bit frumpy and she's too young for that dress.

  15. Katherine is back to her uniform, and yet she looks better than anybody else, I love the head piece and her earrings, not to mention the shoes that are divine! Can’t bring myself to comment on the other ladies, nothing remarkable, prints can be glorious, but these are just wintery and dull. I like Zara’s dress on the model, but somehow it looks matronly on her, perhaps that busy hat?

I like the full length burgundy robe in the last 5 photos the best.
Granted it is a couple of inches too short and is a little high-waisted and needs some work on the back, but it falls beautifully. Furthermore, given the choices of the others, the wearer made the right decision to forgo wearing a hat.

    1. I need to make a guess: are you referring to the robe the minister (Dean of Windsor, I presume) is wearing? If so, it's what he needs to wear in his position as a cleric. It has nothing to do with fashion and that he was foregoing to wear a hat is only natural, as no hat, except a mitre perhaps, would be part of his outfit - so your comment seems somewhat off the mark. Could also be that your remark was meant ironically...

  21. I think it was lovely to see so many of them there to represent the Queen on this special day.
Catherine looks so elegant in this outfit, the head piece is very on trend and just makes the outfit a little more fun.
Lady Louise is growing into a very pretty young woman. That smile and those dimples just beautiful.
Her dress could be a little younger in style, but it is church she is going to not a party.

The ice-blue colour of the dress coat the DoC wears suits her wonderful, but there it stops for me. There's too much fabric in the skirt part and the bandeau somehow ages her (it might be the colour). I do like the print of PE dress, but it seems a bit tight. The hairband looks great on her. LL looks great in her dress, but the moment you think about her age a more youthful look would has to be recommended.
