QL's hair and make-up are perfect, but I don't like this dress on her: the print is too loud and too much and it conflicts with the bow (which already looks better when worn on the same side as the print as model is wearing).

The pink will undoubtedly come back in the dress, but I don't like combining the color of these shoes with the dress.

Somehow I see QRania wearing this dress.

Pertegaz was the designer of her wedding dress, I doubt Rania would wear a Spanish desing.

@Anonymous21/4/22 17:34: I see no reason why QR can't/will not wear clothes of Spanish design; can you elaborate on this?

  2. Queen Letizia, looks very stylish although I would have prefered grey shoes.

Not a fan of this dress.

  4. The severe hair style and pink shoes ruin the look for me. Grey shoes and hair in low bun would have been a more polished look, in my opinion. The dress has too many distractions already to complete with hair and pink shoes.

  5. How I had hoped to see this Pertegaz creation again. The pearl grey is a perfect canvas for the magnificent print. Hair, makeup and complements on poin as usual.
    Beautiful!!

    1. I also love the dress. I also don't mind the pink accessories. I do wish she would have worn her hair in an updo, like a bun. But other than that, I love it!

Nice to see that there is someone who "likes this dress".
I love the dress and Queen Letizia wears it well.
The overall look is stunning. I can't find a negative.
And congratulations to Mrs. Cristina Peri Rossi, who was awarded the prize.
Pity there's not a photo of her.

Basically, I like this dress and I would love it if It had fewer embellishments on it.
Letizia's hairdo is nice but what really strikes me are her shoes, both these hot pink pumps and the maybe blue navy ones on the other post where she is wearing a cape.
They are so classy, femmine and stylish, just to die for.

Love the dress. The color of the shoes and clutch don't go well together with this dress.

  8. I can't put my finger on it, the hair no, the dress not sure, the neck line is to heavy for her size.
I am one of her greatest fans but this outfit a no for me.

The queen is beautiful, but the dress is horrible. I don't blame her for trying something different...it's just not to my liking. Good that some of you like it.

  10. Some readers like the dress, others don’t, I find it interesting and artistic.
However, it is quite possible that Queen Letizia is wearing this creation by Pertegaz out of a sense of duty, rather than preference, to promote this major Spanish designer and give the Cervantes Prize more weight.

    1. El peso al Premio Cervantes se lo dan los cientos de grandes escritores en Lengua Castellana que publican en España y en América, no un vestido que, además, ya ha sido usado.

  12. Not sure about this outfit. What's not to love about pink shoes but don't think they match the pink in the dress. The neckline of the dress spoils it for me--it looks constricting and uncomfortable and the bow adds to this. ONe of her rare misses imo.

      Regina:
i dont know where you live, but if i were you i would not be so proud to " have never worn a mask" : it says alot about your inability to live in a civilised society, where the community comes before the individual.
But i guess it is useless to explain it to people like you.

no, no and no. The dress is an unfortunate garment that I could use the word ugly on, though I rarely use that word, this garment should never be worn again! The pink bag and shoes are different shades and do not work with the dress. jan

  16. Though this dress is 'busy' I cannot help but like it. It accentuates the Queens perfect posture beautifully. The actual fit and tailoring is splendid, length is good. The patterning is quite vivid, a little less so, it would give a totally different outlook. Last wear, I love how the Queen styled the outfit from her black sling back shoes to her choice of earrings. On that occasion , her hair was styled IMO to accommodate the neckline and large pussy bow, so much better. I'm not sure if she is wearing Citrine's or Yellow diamonds? regardless, they are very pretty earrings. The pink shoes and bag on this occasion I don't mind at all, lovely.
P.S I have to make mention how terrific the King looked, groomed so well, love the color of his tie. He has such a lovely warm smile, it radiates from his eyes.

An accurate look the fashion aspect of this outfit. She probably chose something edgy because the audience is made up of creative people.
To add, picture 1 is portrait worthy. She has beautiful eyes.
The smile in picture 4 radiates off her entire person.

Something about this dress looks off. It looks oldfashioned but not in a good classical way, but more like ..outdated. Perhaps with different hairstyle it could have worked better?
It's good to see face mask gone but then when you see that she has red lipstick on her teeth....

Pareja impresionante.

@kaarin, the lipstick “ incident” could have happened to anyone, after all she is human, unfortunately a part of the press has to capitalize on these moments in order to throw fresh meat to the keyboard warriors. Do you think that it was necessary to take the trouble to copy the link so everybody could see that her teeth had been smeared with lipstick? What is the value of that? do you think that trying to humiliate other women is worthy of our time? I appreciate that Ms. Helen didn’t think so.

Is it better to be in ignorance? When someone has broccoli tree between the teeth, makeup running, moco nose, zipper unzipped, etc...let it be, it is not my problem? Okeeyyy.
It is good to be reminded that some lipstics are runny/not to be trusted. I hope she will throw this lipstick away. Makeup can be our friend... sometimes our enemy. Never forget it. Always check and tell if something amiss 💋

  22. @ Kaarin, of the thousands of pictures, you choose to paste a link that shows lipstick on her teeth, it's unkind to capitalize on a moment in time in order to embarrass people. It's inmature , if you were a child I would ground you with a few days without social media. That is how bullying starts.

@ Kaarin, what’s wrong with you? If you see a person in a situation like you describe, you get their attention and discreetly let them know,, that is what well intentioned and kind people do, you don go looking for a link to post for the world to see, or do you think that the Queen didn’t know and she found out by looking at your post? Your intention was just to bring attention into this blog about her somewhat embarrassing moment.
