On March 28, Queen Silvia of Sweden bought the year's first Mayflower pin. This year, David Netz and Lia Soran had the honour of selling the first Mayflower pin to the Queen. Mayflower (Majblomman) is a nonprofit organisation with the mission to decrease the impact of child poverty in Sweden. Majblomman’s work is financed by thousands of children that sell "majblomman" – a small flower pin – each year in April.

  2. These children must have been thrilled to be invited to the palace to see the Queen. The room is stunning. Queen Silvia'splum colored sweater is beautiful and goes well with her white blouse and black skirt. As always, her smile is beautiful. The children are adorable.

Queen Silvia look so warm and charming. I like her colorful jacket which is nice backround to the flower.
The children look proud to sell the flower brooch to the Queen. This must have been very special day for them [its not every day you get to meet Her Majesty]. Its wonderful to see children doing something to help others in need.

  7. Pour cette occasion, la reine est vêtue d'une veste de belle couleur qu'elle a su combiner à un chemisier blanc et une jupe noire ; les enfants ont eu de la chance d'être reçus par elle !
