On March 10, 2022, Queen Letizia attended the 20th edition of the "In Memoriam" Concert at the National Auditorium of Music in Madrid. The concert was organized by the Victims of Terrorism Foundation, and sponsored by the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music, RTVE, the Montemadrid Foundation and the Madrid City Council.

The concert is traditionally given in honour of victims of terrorism and brought together, as every year, the main institutions of the State, Government, political parties and different social and economic strata of the Spanish society. The concert is held annually on the eve of March 11, the day on which the 193 victims of the attacks perpetrated in Madrid on that date in 2004 are commemorated.

  1. I have read elsewhere that this skirt designed by Purificación García for Queen Sofía 30 years ago. It looks beautiful, and would look even better on movement. There appears to be a large buckle at the waist. IMO the blouse is not combined well with this skirt, a contrasting colour would be a thought.

Because of the occasion, I do understand the choice for a black blouse, but agree with you Ava that this is not the best choice to combine well with this skirt, which is absolutely gorgeous.

It is a Memoriam concert in honor of the victism of terrorism, she must be in mourning, she can't wear colour.

The skirt belongs to Queen Sofía and the designer was Purificación García, 30 years ago.

    1. No hay ninguna prueba de esto, ninguna foto. Puede ser un invento de la prensa española, especialista en falsedades.

La falda es de Purificación García y vintage, es de su madre ó de su suegra, nueva no es.

  3. The blouse is fine, but the combination with the skirt is awful: too dark overall, two different shades of black colliding, the narrow silhouette of the skirt not suiting Letizia well. The skirt may be pretty on its own, but needed a different top. Also, I don´t like the stark contrast of the deep black patent leather pumps against her pale bare feet.

  4. Magnifique jupe mais je n'aime pas sa combinaison avec le chemisier noir ; comme d'habitude, superbes escarpins surtout en cuir verni noir !

Perfect combination as the occasion requires a somber color, preferably black, but still a little glamour since the act is in the evening, the skirt is fabulous and the blouse tones down what would have been a too glittery effect. Love the shoes. Her hair is fabulous, but I find it a bit long nowadays.
