We are not under a state of emergency.
The Emergency Act was invoked on Feb 14 and lifted on Feb 23 pertaining to the trucker protests and public safety which have long since ended. Please check your facts before you post. There is enough disinformation in the world without you spreading more.

  3. I love the Queen's paisley print dress. Her beautiful white hair, pearls and earrings are vibrant against the colors of the dress. Just gorgeous. The Governor General looks very nice too. The bright green jacket picks up one of the colors of the bodice of her dress.

Both ladies look good and I'm glad to see the queen looking so engaged. The paisley print of her dress and the subdued colours look perfectly elegant on her. The sapphire brooch she is wearing was gifted to her by one of our former Canadian Govenors General in 2017 to celebrate her 65th year on the throne.

Proud of our current Govenor General, who is indeed the first Indigenous person to hold that position. In a report from her office, she is quoted as saying that it was "a privilege to share with (the queen) the Inuit concept of ajuinnata, which means to never give up, that is guiding my work as governor general.”

    1. Thanks for spotting the snowflake brooch. I missed it earlier. It is one of my favorite of her many brooches.

The Queen looks so lovely- this blue/green print with her hair and pearls go so well with her Canadian Sapphire Brooch- so appropriate for her meeting. The tailoring in the dress to position the flower in front is beautiful but I am on the fence about the interesting partial vest-like detail. Maybe I need to see it better.

  7. How beautiful HM looks in this lovely paisley print dress. Her everyday pearl jewelry are perfect for the dress and I think she might be wearing the Canadian Snowflake brooch--it would typical of her to choose a brooch to represent/honor the nation when meeting with a national representative. I sincerely hope HM is much recovered with the mobility issues she has been dealing with for the past few months--there is no cane in sight and she has shifted her position in the last photo. The Governor General looks quite nice too--I like the color combinations of her ensemble.

  10. I agree with Ava, the Queen does indeed look beautiful in the Paisley print dress and her pearls and brooch just add to this dress and make it stand out a bit more. As for the our Governor General she looks lovely in her ensemble. The leaves from the motif on the front of her dress match exactly with her accompanying jacket.

The Queen is always elegant, classy, can bring out the brightest smiles and give all a chuckle when conversation might lag. God Bless the Quee. Elena
