    1. I have noticed for years that English women, when dressed up, wear long skirts or dresses. Not only for evening wear but also for day wear. Part of my life was spent in England.
Some women I knew did it to hide leg problems (swelling, veins etc).
Apart from that is it because of the climate or is it just an English fashion?

I like the style and colour of the dress but the skirt is loo long and it should be worn with boots.

Though I like the colour and pattern of the dress the CoW's wearing, I consider it too long in particular because of the non-matching jacket she's wearing on top of it. Booths might have improved the look somewhat, but to me overall conclusion is that it's a bit of a mismatch today.

  3. In some of these photos, Sophie's blazer seems to clash with the colors of her dress. In the pictures taken indoors, the colors are more harmonious. This blue striped dress is not one of my favorites. Although it fits her very well (except the too-long length), it does nothing to enhance her silhouette, especially with this particular blazer. Her hair is done nicely. As always, Sophie relates admirably with everyone, especially children and senior citizens. She is one of my favorite members of the BRF.

    1. Sophie is also one of my favorite members of the BRF too. I think instead of a blazer style jacket a bolero style jacket would have looked better with this dress.

Not a fan of this color block type skirt. Jakie

Good grief, she is absolutely swamped in this outfit. When will she realize that an overly long skirt is completely wrong for her stature. (Val)

  6. Sophie looks great--except for the way too long skirt. I really want to hire her good seamstress or tailor to fix all of her beautiful but too long skirt and dress lengths.

  7. This dress looks nice on the model, the boots maybe or without the coat. It seems a very heavy outfit. On the Duchess the length seems very long, not so much on the model. I don't know whether the colour of the jacket goes with the dress, different photos, change of shade/colour tone.

You took the words out of my mouth, Val. The dress swallows Sophie.

Even if the dress would fit better, I don’t like the print or cut. Can’t imagine how it would look good on anyone.
