Though the dress could have been somewhat shorter, one word: stunning! PW should have worn a less dark suit.

Hello sunshine. I prefer the pink one thou, yellow is too loud! Her style has made a shift on this tour, the days of nude heels only are gone.

on another note, it must be uncomfortable with protests going on in the background in Belize and Jamaica. its their choice to be free of the British Monarch. Why do they still hold on, perhaps because they benefit from free trade and aid from Britain.

    1. @Jill. Is that what's called "having your cake and eating it too" , or something like that?
But let's stick to fashion ........ love the dress. Just right for the Caribbean.
Looks like the Duchess has had to adjust her hair style to suit the climate.

Better a free poor man than a rich men's slave.
Kate can wear this dress more often it looks good on her. -Anna-

It is a difficult tour for W&C as the sentiment from these countries are that of protests and reparation. Things change with time and theres plenty of changes going on in the world.
Kate have several nice outfits on this tour. This yellow dress though beautiful is very loud . I actually prefer her in pant suits. Jenny

  3. Wouah, quel jaune lumineux ; Kate est superbe dans cette robe qui aurait mérité d'être un peu plus courte par exemple à mi-mollets ; sublimes ses escarpins !

She is dressed like she is going on a dinner date.
That hair needs a name, it has a life of it own. Notice that she removes the ponytail when indoors. she has learnt the dynamics of the wind on state visits.

Love, love, love this sunny yellow dress. It has interesting details on the top and the yellow color instantly lift my mood as it make me think of sunny summer days.
Her hair were in a ponytail which was smart move considering it was windy.
So far I'm really loving and enjoying what Catherine is wearing.

I agree with you as to protests going on in the background in Belize and Jamaica.
If they want, they can quit just like Barbados did.
If they still hold on, it is quite clear that they must be benefitting from their ties with the British Monarchy.
To fashion: we are seeing an almost new side of the Duchess' sartorial choices.
I really like this fresh, colorful/gaudy selection of ensembles and accessories.
The Cambridges' outfits are coordinated as a nod to the Jamaican flag.
Like this pony tail on Catherine and her shoes are spectacular.

Beautiful design. Love the neckline. A pity it is too long again and the padding on the shoulders is a bit too thick. Yellow is becoming Catherine and is a good colour for visiting Jamaica. Love the shoes.

  9. Although I think the style of her dress and hair look fabulous on the duchess I really do not think yellow suits her at all. She seems to go for bright yellow on her tours to sunny places.
The cut and shape of this dress style give her far more shape than her straight up and down recent coat choices. I see she has gone back to adding belts above her normal waistline. It is a habit I can't say I like much.
I hate white leather handbags as well as white or very light cream or light beige leather shoes and as pretty as the shoe style is I still do not like white leather shoes or white leather handbags.
That said she still looks stunning.

  12. Beautiful dress. Wish we had a closer look at her earrings and bracelet. I think, despite the controversy, William and Kate are having a great tour.

  13. I am sure she chose the yellow because it is the exact same shade that features on the Jamaican flag. The pink color would not have indicated a connection to the country.

  14. She does diplomatic dressing so well. This yellow to highlight the Jamaican flag is great. Love the twist on the top of this dress. But the shoes are my favorite. Normally I'm not a fan of white shoes, but these are fantastic. The humid Carribean weather is rough on hair, but she is managing gracefully.

This customized version of the dress is better and a little worse for me. It appears as though she has slimmed down the skirt, which is a wise move for the airport, as is the length. In the past, she has had wardrobe malfunctions in the wind, so the added length and slimmed down skirt will minimize the risk of additional mishaps. I was also thinking that there may also be dress weights added for extra security. I prefer the sleeveless version of this dress. I realize Kate would be unlikely to wear a sleeveless dress, but one can always hope. I like this dress for the shape it gives her. This bright, sunny yellow is the perfect nod to their host country, and William reflects the green of their flag in his tie. I am not a fan of white shoes and bags, but I will say that these shoes look better than the usual. Her hair looks great with the center part and straight. I hope she feels encouraged to keep it this way. ~d

She looks absolutely fantastic!! Great nod to the flag. Always loved her in yellow. These recent looks (including yesterdays ysl jacket and wide pants, plus dazzling in the pink evening gown) are definitely the way to go - much more fresh, relaxed, younger (than some of the too tailored, over-long, stiff formal wear of late), yet still formal enough for official appointments. Know these are all summer outfits, but think she has also shone in overcoats and trousers through the winter. Love it! Zed.

  17. This is one of the most beautiful dress's I have seen the Duchess wear. Its totally different to what we have seen before. Its feminine and elegant. Her hair looks well groomed, and makeup perfect. Love her accessories

  18. Big WOW!!! Catherine looks smashing--that is a gorgeous dress--and William looks so regal in his navy suit. Their diplomatic dressing gets an A+ here. So glad to see Catherine is choosing simple ponytails to deal with the Caribbean climate and the wind at the airport. While I am not a fan of white shoes, the ones Catherine is wearing look great with her dress. As for that white purse--she should have swapped it out for a straw purse--more tropical--or one of her small clutches. Would love to know more about her bracelet--she doesn't wear bracelets too often so this might be a very interesting new acquisition.

  19. I'm a great fan of bright colours but this is altogether too much single tone yellow for me. I agree with Nalerina that yellow is not the best colour for the Duchess--reds and blues suit her best in my view--very convenient given the colours of the Union Jack!! Dress reminds me of some of the styles worn by Queen Mathilde or Queen Maxima. It's okay but not my favourite.
