Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa visited an exhibition dedicated to the Shroud of Turin at Sacred-Heart Church. The exhibition is titled as “Who is the man in the shroud?” and being held as part of "Esch 2022" and it displays one the holiest relics in Christendom and the most recent scientific research performed on it. It features a replica of the canvas and a statue of Christ to illustrate the famous footprints embedded in the shroud.
Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa received Iryna, 40, a Ukrainian refugee and her son, Yaroslav, 15. The family was accompanied by Anna Dolya, member of the committee of the "LUkraine" Association, and Claude Radoux, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Luxembourg. The family is resident of Dnipro city in eastern Ukraine. Iryna and Yaroslav spoke about their flight from their country to escape the conflict.
Vraiment, c’est un beau manteau moutarde aux lignes simples combiné à la couleur noire qui convient très bien au teint de Maria Teresa même s'il est légèrement trop long pour sa morphologie ; sur les dernières photos, sa tenue comporte t-elle des broderies Ukrainiennes ? C’est exquis !

Maria Teresa's yellow coat suits her very well. It has the right length for her and makes her look taller than she is.
ReplyDeleteOn the black coat there is a bit too much embroidery, otherwise also a good choice. In the last photo her pants are too short.
The yellow coat is fabulous. I love the length, the colour suits her well. The addition of a couple of simple necklaces brings the stark black blouse to life.

GD Maria Teresa really looks sharp in the mustard coat and ensemble. Few can wear that colour successfully but she has excelled at it this time.
ReplyDeleteI also like the second outfit. Could it be that the embroidery has a Ukrainian connection? I'm not sure if it does, but wouldn't be surprised if it was meant to invoke empathy and solidarity, which would be a lovely gesture even if it wasn't Ukrainian.

Black outfit should have been worn in the church, not the yellow garment with low cut blouse, very tacky. The yellow coat is nice, but the blouse should not have been worn in a church, and why is she leaning on the church pillar? Does she have back/leg/foot issues, she is also seated, while everyone else is standing. Hope she is well. The black pants in the 2nd outfit are a little short. jakie
