Nothing about fashion here; always a great initiative the Dutch royal family participates in.

Maxima, why not put the hair together when cleaning the horse stable(s)?
Looks like a show act because it looks more straw than something else.. However nice try for the shoot.

Yes, if she was putting in a hard day's work [*cough cough*], her hair should have been tied back. It's all over the place. *Regina

Love to see Royals in dress down clothes. Although I think its makes Maxima looks like a shorter, dumpier, less impressive, 50 year old stay at home mum…albeit a smiley, enthusiastic one. Km

I am not surprised, lol. Usually get the impression that she is statuesque so seeing her in flats is different. Km

    4. She is extremely tall. In this country of giants/giantesses look how tall she is in the 6th photo down and she was wearing sports shoes or her wellies. There is only one other lady as tall as she is in that photo.

Odd, in their work experiences, you never see the King doing anything strenuous, only she does the pitching hay, and other things while he is inside sanding (from another website photo) is not a very difficult thing to do, but then these were staged photos, so what does one expect.

    1. This is not really the case. The last time that they took part in NLdoet the king was shifting heavy wheel barrows of stuff around and this time he was pruning a pear tree as well.

What a natural outing - though classy and elegant.

  8. I bet most people who interact with Maxima and Willem have a wonderful time. They seem like down-to-earth people who just happen to be royals. I think their jeans and t-shirts, which match the other participants, are terrific.

  9. I bet their were laughs galore, well done. Queen Maxima would have made sure, fun ensured. Love this!
