Great cozy, pretty versatile sweater, lovely hair and makeup (not a fan of the latest light/acid wash jeans comeback).
This is such a fun idea for her to do:). She seems very fun/creative and/or surrounds herself with creative people- her lego Denmark announcement was adorable.

I noticed the jeans, too, and wonder if that will (re)start a trend?...

      Cute fashion. Fun project.

    2. It already is Bepa, it’s the return of the ‘80’s fashions:). I wore an outfit like this in jr high (at a much lower price point). Some styles I am happy to see again, others I want to stay in the past- just my preference. However others who are so used to/tired of the darker jeans feel like it’s a “new, fresh look”- which just makes me smile.

I'm looking forward to that Denmark trip and seeing her spending time with CP Mary who will be hosting her. I might not be able to tell them apart, lol :)

I can only imagine what's coming next: padded shoulders and leg warmers, lol.

Speaking of looks from the 80s:

      Shaker sweaters…yes, please!

      Stirrup pants…no, thanks!

Her hair is lovely, at least it is not a straggly mess like Queen Maxima.

The jumper is fine. It is quite unbecoming for a lady to sit how she is; a man might sit like that.(Tabby)

She has a jeans on not a skirt, so what's the point ?
I think Catherine looks old or tired on this photo. I like these kind of jumpers, unfortunately I cannot wear them because they make me look thicker than I am.

      Unbecoming? Really?
Women who are young, and women who are fit, sit like that all over the world, especially when engaged with children and their activities, or in the outdoors with no makeshift furniture. Nothing unbecoming under those circumstances, especially when dressed appropriately.

A young lady with manners and modesty ;no age ,lets not mention class, wouldn't sit like that (Alexandra)

Utter nonsense Alexandra. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the way she is sitting. Nothing to do with age or class. Some people just have to find something ridiculous to criticise.

    6. What other way can you sit on the floor with kids except slanting both knees backwards which strains the knee and can't be done for extended time? I work with kids and found this is best sitting posture to keep back, neck, & knees in alignment. I had to quit wearing skirts when working with little kids for this reason. And the Duchess apparently realized that too and is dressed and sitting modestly and appropriately to best engage her audience-- kids. And she is adorable while she is doing it!

As a former Preschool teacher, that was the best way to sit for circle time, especially when reading or doing a lesson. As a counselor around the campfire without a stump to sit on or in a tent it also worked best. Sideways will hurt your hips/back/neck and on a little chair (knees together obviously) disconnects you from the kiddos. In this context it is perfectly acceptable and classy to most people from a wide range of backgrounds. “Criss-cross-applesauce” and the kids knew exactly how to sit.
Just curious but do you think women should only ride sidesaddle as well?

Women sit like this in many cultures, social situations, depending on the culture. In the US, I've seen many pre-school, kindergarten, of the lower grades in grade school sitting on the floor with the children around her. Its not inappropriate.

  11. Lovely. A rather 'vintage' look. I love the jumper, personally not so fond of the jeans but Kate looks fantastic in almost anything.
