  1. I love this outfit. Perfect colour, perfect fit and really elegant. Others will not like the trouser/culotte length but to me they look chic and fashionable.

I agree with you. They are still on trend and she wears them well. If they were full length, there would still be a few complaining that her trousers were too wide. ~d

    2. I agree the pants look stylish, a different look then full length slacks which is why the entire outfit looks chic with the high heels on Queen Letizia. She opts for different looks at times with her outfits and not always all the same look the rest of the crowd has going. Good for her!

  2. Please somebody banish formal type cut off trousers. Letitia looks much better than the model in them but they are still ugly i.m.o. Had those trousers been full length she would have looked magnificent.

    1. Oh, Nalerina, I agree 100%. I was taken to task recently for (lightheartedly I thought! ) using the word ‘ban’. 😂 Perhaps ‘banish’ is better? As you say, Queen Letizia looks better than some in these trousers but they are still not flattering even on her.

    2. Agree with you about the length. The trousers really needed to be full length. Then, this look had been great.
I also agree that cropped trousers just don´t work in formal settings and styled to look either business-like or glamourous. I can really only see them work when worn casually. For that reason I actually think that these red trousers look better on the model because the top and especially the shoes are more casual and therefore the trousers look less silly.

  3. Beaucoup d'élégance mais à mon avis, je verrais bien sans trop toucher à la longueur du pantalon des chaussures comme sur le mannequin ; cela équilibrerait à merveille sa tenue !

Even for a woman with good legs, culottes are not flattering in any way.

I really like the color but the trousers finishing above the ankles is definitely a thing that looks ridiculous on a grown woman. Especially when the trouser legs are wide. Not the most elegant, flattering or stylish look despite being in vogue.

I agree with all those on this blog who don't like culottes/cropped trousers. With sneakers or sandals during vacation O.K. With high heels it looks silly on anyone.

Not a fan of the “professional culottes” look overall with the high heels. However these at least have a professional, polished look and are light years away from the leather/zip ones from before. The fabric for these is a good choice and significantly better than the awful wrinkled, baggy (in all the wrong places) look of the Natan ones Q Maxima wears. Q Letizia’s monochrome look is excellent and it’s a great color and fit.
