Ugly dress (and not long enough). What an insult! And when an Omani woman visits Belgium... what Belgian item would she display on the bodice of her dress? R*e*g*i*n*a

The dress has the perfect length. Not only queen Mathilde wears a dress that reminds the country that she is visiting other queens do it too. I don't see the insult on the contrary! I like the dress : the cut, the colours, the shoes and clutch, perfect.

      What is insulting about it?

This dress does not suit Mathilde. I and do think that this habit of the royal women of dressing in a way which looks like the way women are dressed in the country they are visiting, is somehow patronizing and infantile……Especially so because it is never the other way around……

    4. We in Finland love, when CP Victoria wears a dress, wich is designed by Andiata or jewels designet by Lapponia, when she visits Finland, or meets finnish people in Sweden. I think it is a very polite and friendly thing to do. I love that dress.

About CP Victoria case: I agree that it is ok to respect the
country they are visiting i.e. colours and jewelry. But if CP Victoria came to visit us having a picture of sauna or reindeer at the front so...? As someone said it is getting a bit ridiculous.

    6. So you're objecting to the palm tree motif? Can I ask why?

  3. I'm a fan of Queen Mathilde but not of this dress. Perhaps the pattern of the dress is symbolic but it's too busy for me. And in the photo with the patterned wall hangings and carpet, it's totally overpowering

  5. This is a beautiful, bright colorful dress. I love the soft features, the frilled neckline and cuffs, very feminine. The design and colour scheme is very appealing and unusual. Love the choice of shoes and small clutch, colour blends well.

  6. Very beautiful dress that looks great on Queen Mathilde! She looks quite elegant--and the design with the palm trees and fronds are perfect for a visit to a Middle Eastern country.

Very nice, appropriate and elegant. Very much in typical Mathilde style.

  8. It is not a good dress for QM. It makes the top part of her body look narrow and makes the lower body look wider and bulkier. The peint gives the dress the beach robe wibe, IMHO.

This time you cannot put the blame on Natan ! Queen Mathilde has been wearing clothes of several other designers last year and this year and I liked them all.

It is not the dress that makes the upper part of her body slim and the lower body wider. Her upper body *is* slim and her hips*are* broad. So what, this is not something that has to be hidden or corrected. There ist absolutely no problem with it, if you accept that people and their bodies are simply different. - I don't like this dress, but I would also not like it on a "perfect" model. (-Ann.)

Though I like the overall look of QM, I'm not too keen on the palm tree at the front of the bodice whereas I don't mind seeing it at the back. Colours and fitting are great for the queen and visit.

The queen is lovely, however this dress is not flattering, the style, print, colors are not suited to her.
