The center also offers various training programs in partnership with the area’s seasoned business owners and artisans. These programs aim to help young people in Al Salt realize their own projects, in addition to preserving local craftsmanship by passing down the expertise of older generations. Thereafter, Queen Rania visited the Jordan Heritage Shop and Balqawi Wedding Experience. The Balqawi Wedding Experience is an initiative that simulates authentic wedding ceremonies of the governorate of Al Balqa.

  3. Belle silhouette de Rania - Bon choix que cette touche ethnique apportée sur cette tunique de couleur blanche ; très joli lissé de sa coiffure !

wearing jeans and not covering her hair is misrepresentation and out of touch with her country's traditions and culture.

    1. Younger Muslim women are now gradually also wearing jeans (pic8); she compensated not having her hair covered with the shale on her shoulders, yes questionable. Women seem mostly pleased to see her however.

@Jill: Far from it. Her country is an emerging modern nation that is comfortable allowing contemporary ways of dress for women alongside the traditional, and Queen Rania is the perfect embodiment of such a progressive combination of style and culture. You should visit Jordan to take a look. I have.

I disagree - I imagine she knows better than we do what is appropriate and what is not. (V.M.)

Bravo to Rania for not wearing a head covering and for wearing jeans (the woman in the eighth picture is also wearing jeans) and for living by her own convictions and standards. She is a great example!

  6. Queen Rania looks fabulous. The coat looks good, real quality. Love the addition of the scarf, thrown over her shoulders. Lovely splash of colour. What did draw my attention are the gorgeous hand made treats at the Bazaar, they look deliciously good.

I really love this outfit on Rania. She looks so approachable. My favorite is the shirt jacket. It is so on trend, yet still has a classic look. I always love a royal in jeans. It signals that they are one of the people, not above them. She also knows how to wear them, where some royal don't. Its great seeing the mix of modern and traditional style here. ~d
