The origin of the Military Easter dates back to the time of King Carlos III. On January 6, 1782, the Menorcan town of Mahón, which was in the power of the English, was recovered. As an expression of joy, King Carlos III ordered the viceroys, captains general, governors and military commanders to gather the garrisons on the feast of the Epiphany and notify the chiefs and officers of the armies of their congratulations on his behalf.

She is a beautiful woman with a delicate face. She looks so much better and natural when she smiles than when she tries to appear severe. I love her dress

I totally agree with you, Ava; QL's gown's gorgeous and the brooch is 'treacherous' simple but so stylish

As always, such beautiful posture. The dress is a lovely colour, and seems an excellent choice for a chilly day. (V.M.)

Queen Letizia looks regal in her long navy gown. She rarely wear brooches, so its wonderful to see that this time she added the brooch. Also her hairstyle is appropriate without being too severe and tight, a'la Victoria of Sweden.

At least Crown Princess Victoria doesn't look severe because she has always a very friendly smile, which cannot be said of Queen Letizia. Of course with the masks it is difficult to see but her eyes are not smiling. Her hair has been much better in the past. And that stiff posture as if she is a military herself. There are other queens and crown princesses in Europe who can be serious when necessary without looking too severe.
