This year marks the 50th anniversary of Queen Margrethe’s accession to the throne. Queen Margrethe became Queen of Denmark on January 14, 1972 following the death of Frederik IX. Because of the latest developments in the coronavirus situation and the recommendations of the health authorities, the Royal House of Denmark postponed the major celebrations to be held in connection with the 50th anniversary of Queen Margrethe’s accession to the throne.

Maybe this blog should stop discriminate the men since both King Harald and King Carl Gustaf also have held their new year speeches. King Harald, King Felipe and King Phillippe also held a Christmas speech without being mentioned. Believed this was a royal blog, but I guess it's a royal blog only for the female royals...shameful.

I agree. In December last year Queen Mathilde was visiting 3 different places that were not mentioned. If I can find the topics and photo's on "Fashion Queen Mathilde" and on "Monarchie.be" this blog can find them too.
