  1. Classiques les tenues de la princesse Anne qui est presque toujours dans le même style ; je n'ai pas encore remarqué chez elle une touche de modernité qui pourrait nous surprendre agréablement !

To me it's as if PA's about to leave the reception considering gloves, handbag and dress coat; not a good choice imo

  3. I think her coat is lovely, however the black accessories are too stark. She has always had that vintage look, and this suits her style. I do like how the man with the red beard coordinated his tie :)
    Such a good cause.

    1. I fully agree. Her clothing style suits her perfectly. Her silhouette is perfect, she looks friendly etc... However each time I see her, my immediate thinking is always : could she improve her hair style? Either just the top and adapting the rest, or switching to a different style.

  4. Like her mother, she always wears gloves. It's probably not a bad practice during this era. I think she looks lovely. No, she doesn't replace her wardrobe when styles change, but her wardrobe is classic and I think she always looks great. You have to admire her frugality.

Bad hairstyle as ever. Black gloves inside on a reception ?

She has clearly stated that she doesn't like pressing flesh to flesh without a barrier, so yes she could have chosen a lighter coloured pair of gloves.

    Debra, I completely agree.
    “Frugality “: nice word!
The gloves: not nice but practical, so:
    frugality and practicality:
    Well done Anne!

One can be frugal and also stylish, also for all we know she could have paid quite a bit on her ensamble , I can imagine she shops off the rack, obviously Anne has never had much interest in fashion, but since this is a fashion thread, I must say that I find the coat good in cut and style, the fabric has a little upholstery vibe, but it could have worked, without those gloves and of course a good haircut and style.

Yes, the fabric does remind me of an upholstered chair. ~d

Actually a nice coat imo. As you other said - a softer colour than black on bag and gloves would probably have been nice.

But - oh, how I wish she would take some help with her hair - colour and style and skincare and makeup. What a difference it would make!

It´s said that people have a tendency to stay in the same style as they had in their "shining best days" - and it´s so true for Anne. This hairstyle worked out very nice for her in the 70ies :-)
