  1. Beautiful. So simple. Less is more.
All-black outfits work well on blondes and redheads.

Too dark and sombre, this is not a funeral.

A lot of us like black or other dark colors & wear them all year 'round. I think Mette-Marit looks fine, her hair adds a touch of brightness. It's an appropriate outfit for the occasion. ~Laurel~

She's wearing navy. When became a normal fall/winter color a funeral?

  3. Haut et pantalon parfaitement associés dans une couleur noire mais j'aurais bien voulu voir un contraste avec son manteau d'une autre couleur comme du Bordeaux ou même rouge ; avec sa blondeur, ce serait excellent !

Beautiful, inside and out. Black always looks good on blondes with wonderful smiles. Less is more, as another commenter stated.

The Princess looks absolutely stunning in this black combo with her fair coloring and beautiful hair. It is not somber. It is classy and you just can't beat black for casual elegance.

      Agreed.
Mette- Marit is always so relaxed, beautiful, approachable and classy.
Her scandi blonde hair is amazing.
Fashion wise her total black ensemble is simple but stylish and I like her maybe Laboutine pumps( not sure if they are brown reddish or black).

    To Anon 17: 07 I agree
    To Laurel 2:28 and others

I know many people wear all-black clothes all year round - and that's why there are so many boring, uninteresting outfits around us. Colors belong to non-verbal communication and dark clothes promote sadness, depressed mood. Black needs to be revived with something - some interesting accessory (jewelry, handbag, scarf ...) A smile is not enough, because she does not smile every second, it would hurt her sled. For me - today Mette Marit is very boring, even an interesting coat cut will disappear.

As for me - I carefully choose what I will dress in front of my students. I was all in black only once - the day I went to the funeral after the lecture, I wore the same clothes like Mette Marit on the picture.

This is not a black outfit as we all can see... MM wore and looked smashing in a navy turtleneck, navy trousers and navy HM × Giuliva Heritage sleeveless coat and Christian Louboutin brown pumps on her feet. Everything have been used before.
