  1. The embellished sheath is stunning on CP Elisabeth! The gown of the queen I simply can't understand. There's enough fabric bunched up front to make some sleeves, surely, and the sheen looks like pleather? Hope they have a happy holiday!

  2. Mathildes hair and make-up look absolutely beautiful. The colour of the dress is gorgeous - but the fit...?

  3. I think Princess Elisabeth and Princess Eleonore look fantastic. I'm not sure of the draping on Queen Mathilde's dress, it just looks awkward on her lower abdomen. The color is beautiful though. The guys all look quite handsome.

  4. A lovely photo of the Belgian royal family. Mathilde's dress is very strange though and it looks as if the gathering is incorrect?

  6. Both the Princess look lovely and Elisabeth is stunning. She has the perfect form and figure for that lovely sheath dress.
Mathilde...oh dear. It looks like she just bunched up the material from her dress to one side and tied a knot, like you would a beach covering. The fabric, sheen and colour are beautiful and so appropriate for the season but the dress design ruins it completely.
The men look dapper and handsome. Very nice to see the siblings in pairs talking to the concert participants.

  7. Awful dress on Mathilde. The shiny fabric, the stiffness of the material which is not at all suited for any sort of draping, the draping itself placed in the worst possible place, the shoulder design is super unflattering for her arms (either go for a cap sleeve or make it properly sleeveless).
Philippe´s jacket is about to burst.
I haven´t made up my mind about Elisabeth´s dress. I like the idea, but I find it too much of a good thing. Maybe it needed to be shorter?
Eleonore´s dress is cute, but it´s summer dress.
The boys´ jackets don´t fit well (Gabriel: too small; Emmanuel: too lose).
Sorry to sound very negative, but given their ressources and possibilities, the outcome is underwhelming and disappointing.

    2. Fully agree with you in this evaluation, Vanessa; at earlier Christmas concerts this family looked much better.

  8. A lovely family photo of the Royal family. Queen Mathilde's dress at the hip, draping is not very becoming, the colour is gorgeous, very festive.

  9. Queen Mathilde : The dress seemed to be beautiful until I saw the draping. A missed opportunity.
Crown Princess Elisabeth : It could have been excellent if the dress was a bit shorter.
Princess Eleonore : Nice dress but with the uneven hem a little heel would have been better.
Prince Gabriel and prince Emmanuel : it looks like they put on each others jacket
King Phillipe : as usual. I think he gained a little weight lately
Not the outfits we were used to for the Christmas concert each year.

  10. Always a pleasure to see this family.
Love the Dries van Noten on Elisabeth, suits her very well, and also the playful dress of the young princess that is becoming a teenager now.
Mathildes upper half is stunning: the red gives a Christmas feel to them as a group, this is the most flattering hairdo for her. The skirt is a bit strange, but the overall look is good.
The three “ gentlemen”: modest an good looking.
    Wish them a nice Christmas!

  12. The gathering on the Queen's dress should be higher or, given her figure, lower, closer to the knee. As it is, the dresser chose the most unbecoming variant and spolied the dress.

  13. Particularly for a festive dress, I judge according to the basic parameters but also about the originality. I like the material used for Qn Mathilde's dress. The "gathering" of material is an original idea, however I agree with Marina that not a right place given her figure, higher up would have been better, and probably also more discreet. The princesses are quite nice in their respective style. And time for king Philippe to start watching his figure.

  14. The King and Queen; handsome, lovely
The sons; handsome, and extremely tall! wow has he grown. While the younger son is handsome as usual.
The two daughters; beautiful, each in their own right.

  15. The color of the dress on beautiful Mathilde is divine. But not the fit. Elisabeth has the height and the type of figure that will permit her to wear almost anything but, I wish she had chosen a more festive color. Eleonore as well.
