  2. Both queens look elegan &, love Letizia's dress it's stunning. Like what CPV is wearing also. Overall they look great. Mary

  3. QL looks very pretty in this petrol blue dress. Although I feel CPV looks fantastic, it might not be de best top for a reception. PS looks good as well.

Don't like the ruffles on QS jacket, but the fitting of it is good.

  4. The Queen, CP Victoria and Sofia look lovely in their dresses, especially Victoria. The Queen of Spain looks way to old in that dress. The men look handsome. jj

Q Letizia's Alessia Dress is stunning. The front draping adds interest and softness, love the soft colour, the dark accessories are perfect. Q. Silvia looks enchanting, very feminine and soft suit, the fit is perfect. Love the pearl necklace and bracelet, divine. CP Victoria looks fabulous, this outfit off the shoulder looks so attractive, suits her well, accessories are spot on. Pss Sofia's dress I am not a fan of. The ruching down the side, sleeves and hemline frill, gathering appears to be across the waist, is very fussy. A more streamlined look would have looked more appealing. The earrings are a miss, not elegant. Regardless of my tastes, she looks happy and attractive.

  6. I love this neckline on Victoria. I hope she will eventually dismiss those ultrahigh necklines she usually favours these days. This looks lovely.
Silvia looks equally lovely, although I would have preferred a dress for the occasion, and ideally a somewhat stronger colour. But it´s a very elegant skirt suit all the same.
Sofia: a NO from me this time. This isn´t attractive. And her hair looks like a last minute ponytail. I know she has a baby at home and must be busy (so kudos for showing up two nights in a row).
And finally Letizia: Good in theory, but this dress doesn´t sit right on her. The draping looks wonky, the waistline drags which in turn causes the skirt to partly drag as well.

    2. Vanessa, I agree on all points. I am still not over the exquisite ensemble that Silvia wore on the gala dinner, it gets better every time I look at it. :-)

  7. Victoria wins this one for me. Better than so many of her previous outfits. I would like Letizia’s dress, but there’s way too much volume on her chest from so much folded and draped fabric. Sophia rarely gets it right (by my taste) and this one is no exception. Underimpressed by Sylvia’s choice this time.

  8. Queen Letizia has AGAIN an air nonchalance and looks generally displeased. Very difficult to understand what is going on with her. Dress is well fitted and looks elegant.

Compare to the warm and curious, almost excited expressions of Queen Silvia, who is sublime in her soft lavender outfit and pearls.

Compare also to the radiant Victoria, who is the best dressed lady in my opinion. The off the shoulders she should do more often.

    2. Letizia is known for not being fond of "pomp and circunstance", she avoid It most of the time. Actually Spain sent Alfonso XIII to the exile, the Borbons have been a disaster for Spain since the Austrias Dinasty was wiped out.

    4. @mikey. There is nothing worse than an unlicensed body language expert interpreting a person feelings and what is going on in their head by looking at pictures. Do tell us why she was displeased again? you had observed this before.?

He didn´t say why she was displeased... he said it´s difficult to understand what´s going on with her...(?) but she LOOKS generally displeased.

To be able to "read" body language and facial expressions is something we hopefully all are able to do a bit. It´s also a language that "speaks"...
But - as Mikey also states - we don´t know what´s going in her mind, of course..

I got the same impression of Letizia from a lot of the pictures and are wondering the same...(?)

  10. Delighted to put CP Victoria at the top of my list for this event. Lovely dress which suits her perfectly. Queen Silvia is certainly knocking it out of the park on this visit with yet another great outfit, though I would have preferred a stronger colour. I like Queen Letizia ‘s dress, with beautiful draping, but it seems more business like than evening reception. Not a fan of colour or style of Princess Sofia’s dress.

  11. Overall they all looking good, my favorite is Princess Victoria, this outfit is kind of different from what she usually wears, feminine and modern, her best accesories her warm attitude and smile, no one can compete with that.

  12. CP Victoria looks phenomenal, this neckline is gorgeous on her. Queen Silvia looks lovely in her soft color suit. I do like Queen Letizia's dress, but I think the waist needs better tailoring, it looks like it is sagging in places. Sofia's outfit is a no for me, I just don't find the color or ruffles flattering.

  13. Victoria looks positively wonderful.
Sophia is having a bad hair day.
Letizia's dress doesn't look well fitted across the midsection but I like the color.
Silvia's suit is a great color.

  16. Victoria is lovely, gret combination of top and beautiful skirt. Others didn't impress me this time, and I'm a little bit disappointed in Q Letitzia's choice of outfits for this trip, usualy I really like her appearances.

  17. QLetizia : the design of the dress is good. Unfortunately this is not a good color for her. Too dark for her dark skintone, dark eyes and dark hair.
QSylvia : classy lady as always.
CPVictoria : looks radiant. Since she is a beautiful woman she should wear more often this kind of neckline.
PSofia : i don't like this ugly dress. Too brown, too long. It's a pity, she is such a lovely princess. Yesterday was the only day during this state visit that she was dressed elegant, beautiful, etc... MJ

    1. Letizia dark eyes and small...this is the constant nonsense in this blog, the crediblity is outstanding...every time I read It more and more..their eyes are green...

    2. ...dark eyes?. She has green eyes, dear.
Spanish fashion is the best, with french and italian fashion.

    3. I'm sorry, to me her eyes look dark brown. I checked it in close-up photo's. It can be the dark eye shadow she using or the flash lights. And no I don't need glasses I already have them. I didn't say her dress was not good, I just talked about the color. I prefer her in lighter and brighter colors. The orange dress, the white dress with the pink coat, etc... MJ

    4. MJ...Evebody who follows Letizia knows that her eyes are green...there are lots of photos on internet or other blogs, It seems It is the first time you have seen her.

Her hair was almost white when she was born, It has darkened with the age, the dark skintone is tan...not her natural one.

    5. Mamma mía!! All Europe knows that Letizia's eyes are green, no wonder the Spaniards were bored of you all, even you intent to say the contrary.

  18. Très féminin le look de Victoria avec ses magnifiques épaules dégagées mais non pour Sofia, dans ce fond de couleur marron ; je pense que la couleur rouge aurait mieux convenu !

  21. There's a tenseness and awkwardness coming from these photo's that makes you wonder if there was some kind of fight. It's making me uncomfortable to watch.
I like QL's dress and I really want to like it on her too, but unfortunately this is just not her dress. The color a bit too muted for her complexion I guess and not the perfect fit we're used to from her.

  23. Letizia’s dress is outstanding, the color, length, and specially the bodice, it’s original and gives her a little volume, the hair and makeup exquisite, and yes, her eyes are green, it’s one of her best features. Victoria looks very good and this type of neckline suits her very well. Queen Sylvia looks appropriately dressed but I find the jacket too busy with the unnecessary ruffles. Won’t comment about Sofia’s dress, is about the worst I’ve seen in a while. Funny, how people bash the Queen of Spain, about being, “cold” “ uninterested” etc., I have seen her rather engaged when visiting the locales, asking questions and listening yo the hosts intently, no she is not Máxima, but the criticism is rather ugly, and has everybody forgotten how difficult is Gustaf? Often rude to the photographers and grumpy, oh I forgot he is a man, and he can, is just women that must laugh incessantly.
    Come on !!!
