On November 2, Queen Rania of Jordan visited the Sarhan District in Al Mafraq. There, the Queen met with local entrepreneurs and civil society organizations that are carrying out various projects, including those funded through the community-based grant scheme supported by the Royal Hashemite Court.
During her visit to Sarhan District, the Queen visited the Al Tawasol Association for Family and Child Development which was founded in 2007. The Association works to strengthen the social fabric of the Sarhan community, and to empower residents by building their capacities and providing them with economic opportunities.
