  2. To mask or not to mask?
    That is the question.

She looks fabulous but for the mask!

    2. @Marie: Yes, I am grateful too that they are dining without masks :)

    3. They all look fantastic, but the masks spoil it all.
The mask policy is utterly ridiculous, the on/off method defies any logic.

    4. The covid is raising again in all Europe and there are countries with lots of restrictions already.
Spain has most of its population vaccinated...we'll see...

    5. Wearing the mask is the responsible thing for the King and Queen to do. They serve at the behest of the public. Imagine the criticism if they do not, when everyone else does.
Please do not engage with anti maskers. Everyone has their beliefs but anti maskers want to convert others to their way of thinking regardless of science. There are videos on YT of anti maskers deliberately going into business to harass shopkeepers and even becoming physical with customers who reproach them. Everyone knows their rights.... until their loved ones become ill.

  3. One of her best looks ever, simple, elegant and soooo sexy! If I am not mistaken this is their first state dinner since pandemic began so well worth the wait.
And yes, she is skinny, get over it.

  10. After almost 2 years without any tiara action from the Spanish royals this state visit has come as a real treat. Queen Letizia looks absolutely stunning, her grand tiara, necklace and brooch come together beautifully. King Felipe looks handsome as always! My only comment would be the black dress, its a nice dress that makes her figure look great, but everyone is wearing black which looks a little sombre.

I can't wait to see what jewels the queen will bring to Sweden at the end of the month.

  11. Why is the Queen wearing black to a gala dinner? Is she in mourning?

    1. So people only wear black while in mourning? Where does this exactly happens?

    2. To offset the diamonds and pearls? Subtle dress, fabulous jewels. Works for me.

The Queen looks sensational. Her gown suits her superbly, its lovely. Stunning array of jewels. The diamond necklace is fabulous, gorgeous diamond and pearl brooch, and diamond bracelet, subtle diamond earrings. She looks incredible

    1. Agree that Queen Letizia looks amazing. The jewellery is just fabulous. I have to disagree re arms. Beautifully toned arms look great but I think her over muscled arms detract from rather than add to her beauty.

  15. I wish she had more substantial earrings, the small ones get lost among her fabulous jewels!

    1. I do not agree. Larger earrings would be too much and detract from the necklace and crown. The earrings are perfect.

  16. Letizia is gorgeous! Her gown is simple yet elegant. The bodice is ruched on one side to add subtle interest. It is the perfect display for the exquisite jewelry she is wearing. She is not known for wearing much jewelry, but when the occasion calls for it, she really outdoes herself. She is a sight to behold! I read that she is wearing her Manolo Blahnik BB Snakeskin pumps. With such a simple gown, the choice of a snakeskin shoe adds texture. What a sight to behold!

I wish the mask comment above had not been made. It was out of place. We are still in a pandemic, and areas around the world are surging or preparing for winter surges. Felipe and Letizia have been among the most responsible royals and should be commended for their efforts. ~d

She looks amazing as usual, however this dress is wonderful on her.
He must be so proud of her as his wife and Queen, she is always such a lady.

  20. pour Laetizia : le collier de diamants sublime la robe, mais que dire de ce diadème trop grand et trop lourd avec en prime ce masque de chantier, sur le visage, surréaliste......

  22. I don`t want to offend anyone but I just wish the edge of the decolletee had been higher by about an inch - the low cut is really sexy (as some of you have already said), it just looks a tiny bit too low to be really elegant...just my two pence

  23. I like the open detail at the back of Laura Mattarella her dress.

  24. Everything has been said, so I can only add, that I find her fabulous, from top to bottom.
Strongly disagree with the notion that the dress is inappropriate, ladies have worn low décolletages on these occasions for centuries, there are some good images of Queen Elizabeth in her youth…..
Also disagree with the arms distraction? So if they were sausage like would you mention it?
Ms. Mattarella’s dress has a very interesting back but it’s hard to see the dress in detail.
