On November 21, 2021, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg took part in a solidarity march against violence against women, in Esch- sur-Alzette, a few days before the start of "Orange Week". From 25 November to 10 December 2021, Luxembourg will be adorned with orange for the 5th edition of "Orange Week".
As in the previous year, the color orange was a key theme during the march in order to bring global attention to the initiative. The Orange Week is supported by the Ministry of Gender Equality and is organized by the National Council of Women of Luxembourg (CNFL) and the Luxembourg branch of Zonta International. It aims to raise awareness and take action to end violence against women and girls.
