  1. the dress is ok but a little harsh for her IMV

  2. Was not that mad about the length of this dress the last time she wore it with boots and now I like it even less. I do not understand her sudden passion for very long dresses. They may be the latest fad but so very long does not suit her. It does not suit the Duchess of Cambridge either and she has also taken to this. They are both just too thin for this.

    1. I agree about the length of the dress, but apart from that I think Letizia looks stunning. She is very slim but has curves nonetheless.

    1. Letizia has worn several dresses etc that are not queen-appropriate. ~Laurel~

    2. And said by people from other countries, what is appropiate or not for the Queen of Spain are the Spaniards, and they love It. They pay for her clothes, not you. Lina.

    3. Please give us your vision of what this Queen should wear. Constructive critiquing also includes solutions that take into consideration the country and culture of the person.
Many of these ladies in this age group have opted for the longer length. Hemlines go up and down as the years go by.

    4. Well said, Lina. While I am an American and not a Spaniard, I think it is important to respect the clothing styles of other countries and not be so judgmental especially out of ignorance.

    5. What does "Queen appropriate" mean? ~d

    6. I would be very curious to understand how one sees this as not appropriate. It is a classy black dress, and she's covered up. Very interesting.

Since this is an international site, it is crystal clear that different subjective opinions from people of other countries ,not only from Spaniards, will be published.
In this case, Letizia is perfectly on trend with her extra midi knit dress, which is to be seen everywhere by now and is a fall must have created by stylists from all over the world.
I sense it was only suggested that maybe a black/navy bra could have worked better (see 6th pic).
In addition, I find that this outfit is appropriate for a Queen.

  4. Très élégante silhouette dans cette robe mais un peu trop longue à mon goût ; magnifiques escarpins dont j'admire le détail de la peau de serpent quand j’agrandis la photo !

  7. I like this very much. The length works for me. What I don't like are midis that are too long, especially when they are a fuller skirt. This hits the sweet spot for me. I am not minding the pumps here either. There is enough leg showing. Great choice keeping accessories black but textured. The entire look is polished. I do have a problem with her undergarments. They are showing through the knit in photo #7. The lights from the cameras hit in just the right way to allow us to see through the knit. I wouldn't expect that she thought it would be a problem wearing knit. Unfortunately, we see that she should have worn black undergarments, both top and bottom, instead of nude. ~d

If the underwear is properly "nude" then it shouldn't show - given that we can't actually see her skin through the dress. I suspect she's wearing white or cream. Sometimes black shows up even more. I was once told by a seamstress that pink was a good colour for people to choose for underwear.

Anyway, I really don't think it's that bad and certainly nothing "inappropriate". I think she looks great in this outfit.

The Queen looks wonderful. Love this dress with the belt. The length IMO is perfect, she looks very elegant.
