On October 22, 2021, King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the opening of the new museum MUNCH in Bjørvika. The Munch Museum has the world's largest collection of Edvard Munch's works. Munch has a unique position among Nordic painters and is considered a pioneer in expressionism.

The Munch Museum's collection, left to the city of Oslo by the artist himself, involves paintings, graphical prints and drawings. It is the largest collection of art by one single artist. In addition to Munch's art, world class contemporary art is exhibited in the 13 floor building. The monumental museum located beside the Oslo Fjord also includes Munch Deli & Café, Bistro Tolvte and Kranen Bar.

  1. Like both coats, especially the very modern one worn by the Queen. I want to be like her when I grow up!! Isn't CP Mette-Marit really beautiful in these photos?

  2. A special family which, for all appearances, are genuinely kind and loving toward each other. They always seem happy. I hope the king continues to improve and will soon be able to walk without a cane.

Queen Sonja looks beautiful. I love her red/orange coat over her white dress and knee high boots. Mette-Marit seems happy, and more importantly, well. Her floor length coat over her blue pants and heels is very attractive. She is a true Scandinavian beauty.

Queen Sonja looks fabulous, modern, stylish and elegant. Love her coat, the dress underneath is divine, looks marvellous with her boots. Combined with her hat and gloves, she is the complete package, stunning.

  4. Love the coats, Crown Princess Mette Marit's blue coat is very fitting and modern as Munch's paintings still are.

    1. I would also prefer MM's coat to be shorter.
