  1. Crown Princess Mette-Marit's Pucci dress and amethyst parure are divine, love it! And Queen Josephine's diamond tiara is one of my all time favourite tiaras! Queen Sonja's grey dress and diamonds are incredible impressive! Finally a tiara event again!!!

  4. The Queen, the Crown Princess, and Princess Astrid all looked wonderful! HM is wearing a gorgeous gown with the glorious Queen Josephine tiara--incredily elegant. CP Mette-Marit is gorgeous in her white gown and I love seeing her wear the amethysts--its a beautiful parure. Princess Astrid looks lovely--its wonderful to see her. The photo of the CP couple and Princess Astrid is very endearing--Haakon is looking at his aunt with such care, watching as she makes her careful progress on those shiny wood floors with her crutches. What a great tiara occasion after such a really long drought!

  6. Well.. this is not a farewell dinner for Solberg Government, but the annual dinner hosted by the King for the Norwegian Storting (Parliament)

  7. This is not right. This is the annual parliamentary dinner. This time to welcome the new parliament. The farwell dinner for Solberg was Thursday the 21st. The ladies looked wonderful and the King as always cracked jokes and made them all feel welocme. PS have always liked this Emilio Pucci dress on MM.

Queen Josephine’s diamond tiara and the Vasa tiara to the same event – I’m ecstatic! Chris

  9. A small correction: This was not the farewell dinner for the Solberg government, but the annual dinner for the members of the Storting (Parliament), including also members of other official institutions as the High Court, the Church, etc.. The lady between the King and the Crown Prince is the president of the Storting. She is wearing the traditional dress (bunad) of her home county, Trøndelag.

  10. QS looks fantastic in this soft gray dress. All the ladies wear a tiara very well and KH and PH look fantastic too. Not too keen on PM dress, however. I feel like this one doesn't do her figure justice and it has more of a sundress vibe to me (in a shorter version then).

  11. Queen Sonja is my favourite here. The pearl grey dress makes her so beautiful. She has a wonderful skin for her age. CP Mette Marit's dress is lovely too but I prefer white dresses with short sleeves for a summer event.

  12. Toutes ces dames sont bien élégantes - Superbe la robe de Mette-Marit tant au niveau du style que du tissu ; je suis ravie de la voir reporter ses améthystes qui vont à merveille avec sa carnation !

    2. The palace have said on this question that the Princess has weak ankles. I seem to remember this is after an illness many, many years ago. Was it febris rehumatica? So she have for many years used crutches from time to time. No it seems like she uses them all the time. Jenny

  16. How lovely the photo of Queen Sonja sipping her champagne. Great hair simply and beautifully styled to do justice to the fabulous tiara. Couldn't ask for more.
