I love this elegant and simple style of Maxima, colors of course, but this siluette of the dress is perfect for her. Love the jewelry that adds right amount of festive flair and glamour.

@deadeggs: Tomorrow will bring a large Christmas decoration worn as a brooch. This lovely lady (who is one of my fav people) goes from the sublime to the ridiculous.

What a fantastic dress with these vibrant colours. Model perfect for Máxima. Hair well taken care of.
As always Máxima is beautifully dressed for this gala event. Why is her choice of clothes often so wrong during the daytime??

She is always at her best on formal attire, the cut is ideal for her figure, and the dress is very original, great not over the top accessories and good hair day.
The mother of the bride looks fabulous as well.

  8. See, she can do it. She looks beautiful here. If she can look this beautiful for a private event, why can't she get it together and look good for the people of her country?

  10. beautiful classy dress and kudos to her for looking at least as good in it now as she did more than 11 years ago. She has hardly aged while the King looks a full decade older. If only he would get rid of the beard.

The Queen; For once, she has gotten most everything right, except the only quibble is the length, just a little too long, looks as if she could trip on it, or have to constantly hold it up to walk. Otherwise, lovely.

The bride looks like she has a lace curtain on her head; the dress looks like silk; lovely. Nothing like a rich industrialist .Queen Maxima looks bright and cheery.
