  1. I would have preferred the trousers 2-3cm longer, but it´s a very becoming look all the same. A power suit, very smart.

    1. The length is ok for me, ladies can choose their favorite trousers' styling and corresponding length.

    2. Absolutely agree with you, Vanessa. Just that little bit longer and perhaps a slightly wider leg, would have made this great outfit perfect.

  2. Love the suit, chic. The tailoring is great. She looks fantastic, modern and classy.

Who knew this much purple could look this good? I did not, but I stand corrected.

First, the pant length is perfect. Next, the bold colour story is expertly offset with navy top and shoes. An inspired pairing of tones. Overall, the ensemble is really, really good.

    Brava, Kate, brava!

I like the purple and navy combo as well. Her kids must think they have the coolest mom! It's not everyday a mother is willing to hold a tarantula!

  4. I am just not a fan of ankle length narrow trousers with high heels. How much nicer would those not very well tailored trousers have looked if straight legged or even a bit flared and covering her shoes. They are also bagging at the knees and do not fit very nicely at the crotch. I am very surprised that they are Emilia Wickstead.

    1. The pants you describe, nalerina, would give a traditional classic look, probably highly appreciated by the older generation. Most younger women want to break away from that. Showing the ankles and high heels gives a sexy and flattering look.

You can vary your wardrobe a lot with this smart purple suit, but is certainly not an basic item. While the jacket is longer you can create some hips. Good on her she looks comfy in it, an good option for this weather, but maybe with different shoes. -Anna-

Wonderful color on her. I think I'd like the pants just a bit longer with these shoes but, she looks fabulous.

Great look for this occasion. Not fond of high trouser length, but it's the 'in' thing these days. Wm looks well put together as usual. clare

  10. Kate shows everyone how to wear a loud color and make it looks fantastic . If the pants are baggy it might me from sitting in a plane or helicopter for hours . Doesn’t look bad to me .
    So classy .

I like everything about this suit, the length of the pants along with high heels are a perfect combination, it makes this suit current, and younger. The jacket is perfectly tailored and it fits her like a glove. The color is classic and daring equally. Perfect hair, makeup and accessories. This outfit is a 10 for me. I am glad that she is leaving behind the old boring outfits and she is choosing clothes that are more appropriate for a young woman, that fortunately has a figure that can wear almost anything.

  13. Very chic--and love she is beginning to wear trousers or trouser suits on her official visits. Given that she is such a trendsetter I love this step forward from her. She looks fabulous in the color, cut, and style of this suit!

This is the style I wear to work these autumn days (I'm a college teacher). It's comfortable and stylish. I have such a costume in navy blue, dark green and ice blue. I wear it with a turtleneck, blouse or shirt. It's not the same brand as Kate's, but it looks the same. I don't copy Kate, but it seems - we have the same taste.

      Stephanie,

Nice to know you’re Kate’s royal style twin!

One of my royal style twins is Sweden’s CP Victoria because I wear my long hair off my face most days, just like she does. I have more than one royal style twin, depending on my mood or ensemble. Some days it’s Q Leti, some days Q Max, some days someone else…

Wow, another winning look from Catherine!
Double breasted long jacket can be tricky to wear in flattering way but Catherine has nailed it. Everything works here...wonderful rich color that goes well with her haircolor, good fit and styling. By keeping lapels open, she creates image of longer legs.
She has this effortless modern, young and fresh look. Even her ponytail was good choice with this outfit.

    Wow, she looks wonderful!!
I like this contrast purple/ black(or maybe it is blue navy) on her, very, very classy.
She has le physique du role IMO.
Her soft slightly curled ponytail is beautiful too.
    What a smart stylish couple!

  18. Quel look très seyant dans cette couleur violet ; les cheveux légèrement ondulés, ramenés en queue-de-cheval lui vont toujours à merveille - Quel courage pour tenir une tarentule entre ses mains !

  19. I am impressed. What a good cut! It looks fabulous. Her frame carries it so well. I like the color and she buttons it up with the shoes. Nicely done.

We're seeing royal ladies opt for the working trouser suit option. When it works, it really does work. The colour, the cut is perfect on Catherine, Ana
