By far not the best design by DvN; QM can look so much better (in a DvN). Earrings are too bulky to my taste.

  3. Mathilde has here the hair style I rather dislike for her, I find it a bit old fashioned. Pleased to see again this original coat/long jacket

You are right about Queen Mathilde's hair. I think she had a bad hair day, which doesn't happen often. I like her coat and clutch. She worn this outfit before but it is still very stylish. MJ

  4. I rather like the bright jacket worn over dark or plain outfit---Grand Duchess Maria Theresa, for example, often looks great in such an outfit---but not this. The colours are good but the asymmetry just makes it look weird in my view. I think the long jacket over trousers look is a good one for Queen Mathilde, just not this jacket.

  5. Quelle idée de porter une veste aussi laide, et la pochette en prime. A oublier .

    1. For sure there can be different opinions, but I think this jacket is great, and has an original styling.

  6. Elégant ce manteau multicolore déjà porté qui convient très bien à la silhouette de Mathilde ; il a l'avantage de pouvoir être aussi bien combiné avec un pantalon qu'une jupe droite ; bonne idée que la pochette reprenant son imprimé !

Mathilde, the earrings are way too large, the jacket is not my favorite, with a difficult to look at asymmetry. jj

  8. What a fun jacket, and perfect that she has just the black top and pants as to keep the focus on just the jacket. I am not a fan of those earrings, however. They compete with the jacket. But otherwise, she looks great.

  9. Oh my...not a fan of the coat at all. Its too shapeless. I could handle the asymmetrical print if the coat wasn't so boxy. The earrings--big no from me. Mathilde likes to wear large pieces of costume jewelry and, ususally, I like her choices but not this time. The simple black pants and top are a wonderful choice--I like Mathilde best in simple, tailored lines--to highlight her coat but I just don't like the style.
