  1. The queen looks stunning and so does Mary. Mary's hair looks so much better without a centre parting to it as well.

  2. Queen Margrethe and Crown Princess Mary looks very smart in their Navy blue. CP Mary's "official uniform" is very fashionable.

Pity we can't see more of what Queen Margrethe is wearing for the occasion.

      I agree, as well!

CP Mary carries this look with aplomb. Superb, unique, and striking. One of the most rare types of TPO (time, place, occasion) in terms of royal fashion.

Correct me if I'm wrong...is P Anne the only other royal lady with formal military dress?

    3. Bepa, perhaps the young Elisabeth of Belgium owns one, isn't she at some military academy now?

Ah, yes, of course, you are correct. Soon we’ll have an entire new generation of royals at these engagements!

All that dark blue is too much, navy style on an elegant dress is not a right combination

Mary has attended this event before wearing the same uniform. Frederik participated as well as would seem natural due to his rank, navy etc. How come that Mary comes alone, which she does lately for official events? Next she will go alone to Lithuania also representing Denmark. Other royals like Victoria and Daniel will come as well. Shouldn't the future Danish king participate?

Mary and Frederik have done joint engagments during the last weekend, already forgotten? The Crown Prince is currently doing a course organized by the ministry of foreign affairs, no time for work during the week.

The Swedish princess Victoria is also often alone on foreign and humanitarian trips.

I agree! she seems to be busier than him and even when they attend an event together she seems to be more attentive to people and the crowds, always smiling and waving. Denmark is lucky to have her

Anonymous 27/9/21 21:02 - My point is that this is an event where Frederik, the born heir to the throne and a high ranking military man, is expected to join. But it seems things at the palace has changed a lot since Mary joined. And for the record, I have an excellent memory.

You are right, she acts like if she was the real heir to the throne...

Quite recently queen Margrethe AND crown prince Frederik were on an official visit to Germany WITHOUT crown princess Mary. Obviously there are so many events in their program that they cannot attend all together. I'm sure queen Margrethe has checked that everything is done according to the protocol, so that foreigners need not worry.

So agree with W. What Dennark gained, Australia has lost. Yet we are proud of Mary. She looks beautiful may I add. Mary I

Both ladies look very elegant. I’m particularly taken by the lustre of Q. Margrethe’s pearls and how well they compliment the lace on her dress. (V.M.)
