The same basic style of dress in different colors, different materials, is getting boring. I realize she has a difficult shape to fit, but that is what stylists are for. She has enough $$ to hire a decent stylist. jj

When you get to her age it not about impressing people, She knows what style works for her and makes her comfortable. Most women her age have the same hair and dress style.

I totally agree with you, jj. It is boring and a bit sack-like and she certainly has enough money to do better.

The fact that you are bored is not a fashion comment, it is just your very subjective sentiment and not more. If you are bored, look for another outfit on these pages where you can comment something more substantial. - I find the Duchess' usual style very convincing, it flatters her. And as the last weeks have shown us, there was quite a lot of variability, of course - and very sensibly - within the limits her age and body structure offer her. (-Ann.)

Completely agree with jj and Renee; it is boring, irrespective of whether it is flattering for her not. Compare with e.g. Benedikte and Margrethe of Denmark, who both have excellent outfits in different styles, and they are in the same age group as Camilla. - Saying a style is boring is a fashion comment, and it has nothing to do with 'I am bored'. All comments on this blog are purely subjective and only represent the speaker's opinion. - I love the colour of this blue dress, but do not like the details of it. - Ellie

She knows what suits her and she looks great. It flatters her immensely. I find her so likeable just by looking at her. The whole person looks coherent. Frieda

  3. Much prefer her in one of her flowery dresses. I find what looks a lot like opened out bias binding as a trim very odd. In fact the whole sort of inside out construction should be better left for a very young person to wear. They can get away with it. She does look very reaxed and comfortable though.

  4. The duchess looked great at this engagement. The cornflower blue dress is very pretty and the fit is perfect. The earrings are great. We don't often see her wear dangling earrings.

Love this dress, the style details, and especially the colour. It is exactly to the Duchesses style and suits her perfectly.

  6. How lovely Camilla looks in her blue dress! She has found a perfect syle that is very flattering and probably very comfortable for her in terms of anything she needs to do during her engagements. And, her warm, friendly smile is her best accessory!

Not fond of this dress, the earrings, nor her current color of hair. All her clothes look alike these days. Different color, or fabric, but same style details. Mandy

  11. Love the colour of this dress and the style is flattering for the Duchess and clearly she is comfortable wearing this style of dress. Good for her. Particularly like the fourth photo where she is standing in definitely sassy style with her hand in one pocket.

  13. Simple, easygoing and casual in a lovely blue colour. Lost a LOT of weight plus the sexcessive sunbathing, I think it ages her. But here she looks good for a change.

A gorgeous colour on D. Camilla. The dress is a tried and true silhouette, and looks comfortable and easy to wear. Bonus - pockets! Who doesn’t like pockets. (V.M.)

  16. I looked at the pics first without reading any comments and was about to write "it gets boring" ... Then I read, just like you, I admit these dresses suit her very well, but still ... more than that is expected from her. Please Camilla, try hard.
