Not sure about the shoes and bag but the rest of the look is nice.

    1. The shoes, yes I have the same doubts; I must admit I no longer like white shoes.

  2. Smart semi formal outfit. Like the skirt. Looking at today’s photos, I agree with those who think the Duchess would look even better with several inches off the length her hair

      It is just to long

This outfit is so smart & elegant looking. Kate adds an air of sophistication. I am looking forward to trying to find some sort of knock offs to match. Well done Kate Mary I

Good luck! That's a fun fashion project to recreate ensembles.

I agree. The whole outfit is kind of boring. Some nice pieces but they do not make a good looking combination. -Lisa

Normally I love her style but this ensemble looks so frumpey and old fashioned to me.

I am never a fan of white shoes and bags. It is a personal preference. They look cheap to me. The last time I wore white shoes was on my wedding day, and before that I couldn't even guess. I think her hair is looking tired and needs a style change. ~d

    1. Agree that white shoes are "difficult" but the way she combines them work, I think.

This Smythe jacket goes quite well with every kind of outfit (even if I don't like that cutout). But: I long for a comeback of those straight and short and collarless small jackets that go so well with wide skirts and dresses. I love the shoes matching the colour of the polka dots. -
This blog could be such a perfect exercise for how to talk *publicly* about other people's appearance but keeping a certain level of respect for that person. The same respect one would expect for oneself when being negatively criticised. (-Ann.)

  8. Superbe look dans cette jupe plissรฉe ร  pois ; pas trop fan de son petit sac mais je trouve que ses chaussures blanches sont trop classiques par rapport au reste de sa tenue !

Lovely outfit, though the shoes could have been changed out for summery espadrills, and bad that matched.

It’s not a fashion-forward outfit for sure, but it suits D.Kate and it’s appropriate for the occasion. I do like the Smythe blazer, and it fits her beautifully. And while I love white shoes and bags, I think these very high heels are a bit too formal. Espadrilles, or block heels might have been a better choice. (V.M.)

  12. Contrary to all the white shoe haters here I think the white shoes look great.
What a refreshing look with this classy outfit! Kate does not need the heels with her height, a little more moderate heels would look much nicer.

  13. I love, love, love this outfit. This looks like the skirt version of a dress she previously wore (that I also adored). I am a fan of the tshirt under the blazer. I know the shoes are controversial, and I'm not always a fan, but since there's not much white in the outfit, they work for me here. They are in pristine condition, and serve as the secondary color to the outfit. Dark shoes would have been too much, espadrilles too informal. Great earring choice.

Is it me or maybe the angle of the photos that I have noticed lately that Kate's mask is a bit too small on her. See the close up on fifth pic (below the one with the strawberry shot) and the sixth pic between her and the lady in green jacket.

It's not just you, I think this every time I see her wearing a mask. It's from a brand I don't know, (Amaia?) which makes kid's clothes. I've wondered a lot of times if she wears kid's masks. But she likes them and they do not leave gaps, so they are covid-proof to her. Maybe she does this to leave as much of her face visible as possible, who knows.

Overall I like the outfit, especially the jacket. It's classy, although I also think the length of the skirt makes it a little bit oldfashioned, like someone else also said. But overall I like it.

No, the whole outfit is more than "Aunt Emma". Then please a nice midi summer dress instead. Terrible choice. Terrible. Frieda

The skirt is very pretty, but the jacket gives a frumpy look. On another website I saw the matching top of this outfit. I wish she had chosen to wear it with the skirt. It is quite chic! I agree with the other comments regarding the white shoes...they are just not a good choice.

Cute ensemble, with the skirt being the best element of all.

I saw an IG video of D Kate playing a game testing reaction time, it's a very funny video. She did better in heels than I would in flats.

    Well done!

Very typical for Kate, but the shoes feel out of place. A navy black heel (like her Emmy shoes we saw several times) would have worked better for this semi-formal outfit. As it is, feels like she couldn’t make up her mind: these pointy white ones are quite formal in a rather overly pretentious way; I can’t see why she’d further damage her feet with those high stilettos.

Kate looks fantastic ;summery friendly and such an asset to the Monarchy. Shoes are great they just pull the whole outfit together. Tara

  21. No to the white shoes and handbag. Personally I think beige shoes or even shoes that toned with the blazer would have looked nicer.
