On June 29, 2021, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, named as the Earl and Countess of Forfar in Scotland, visited St James Quarter shopping district for a tour of the new area developed by Nuveen Real Estate which has transformed the east end of Edinburgh. St James Quarter is a retail, lifestyle and residential development in the centre of Edinburgh, Scotland. The Countess wore a pleated silk midi skirt by Valentino.

Oh what a sweet, light, pretty skirt. It reeks of summer and I like that Sophie has paired it with white on top, which goes well with her blonde hair. (I also like the model's top).
ردحذفMy only quibble is that I'd have preferred if she had chosen a lighter looking jacket - if she had to wear a jacket at all. It looks like she already has a pretty blouse underneath from the sleeves poking out.

Once again I agree with you entirely, Anon 9 13. Perfect summer outfit. I have no problem with the jacket. Even on a sunny dry day in Edinburgh it may be cold enough to need one, trust me! Whole outfit is just frothy, summery and lovely.

Top marks today although I would have preferred the shoes a bit darker. They are too close to white to my taste or maybe they really are white. I cannot really see.
ردحذفLike both the skirt and the top/jacket combo but not together. Skirt is feminine and has movement, top should have been closer fitting and better color-match. I like the top on the model, but would have worn a soft-white belt with Sophie's to match Sophie's shoes. Jacket is too long and ruins the lines of the skirt.
ردحذفTop/jacket is structured and business-like, better with a pencil skirt or tailored slacks. Color of clutch is too bland. Hair would have looked better in an up-do, it's a bit fly-away in the breezy conditions. In other words, individual pieces are fine, but were not put together in the best way. S.M.
Nice outfit, well done Sophie. The skirt looks lovely and it has just the right length, it does not drown her, as some of her sometimes way too long skirts do. I also like the shoes. I would prefer a pink blouse under the blazer, for a better contrast.

Sophie porte à merveille cette jupe plissée en soie mais je pense que la veste en rose poudré aurait mieux convenu sur son haut blanc - Ravissante avec ses cheveux lâchés, je voudrais bien voir ses boucles d'oreilles de plus près de telle manière que je pourrai enregistrer leur image dans un petit fichier que j'ai créée !
ردحذفWhat a lovely Valentino skirt in the prettiest of pinks. I really like the print and the cream jacket and shirt look so good with it. Sophie is looking great and these soft tones suit her so well.

perfect outfit for summer, skirt is lovely, breezy, summery. A tad too much white on top, maybe a pale pink blouse under the white jacket, or darker shoes. But overall she looks great. jj
