On June 24, 2021, Queen Maxima visited the Eye Film Museum in Amsterdam on the occasion of its 75th anniversary. In celebration of the anniversary, Queen Máxima also gives the go-ahead for Eye on Screens, in which images from Eye's film collection can be seen on outdoor screens at stations, squares and shopping centers throughout the Netherlands for two years. Queen Maxima wore a mustard yellow floral print dress by Zimmermann.

ردحذفOh la, la que de couleur moutarde dans la capeline retrouvée dans son dressing, les gants, une petite étole et même les escarpins ; heureusement que la couleur violette de certains motifs floraux de sa toilette se retrouvent autant dans sa pochette que dans l'une de ses boucles d'oreilles pendantes que j'aimerais mieux voir de près ; quel idée bien sympathique !

This very tender dress must not be overwhelmed by a charming but far too big hat, and should be worn a bit less tight.

I have always associated a hat that is extra large like the one Queen Maxima is wearing with a wedding, garden party or the Kentucky Derby.....I guess if it is your personal preference it is ok to wear a hat as large as the ones she seems to favor. It does seem to fit her larger than life personality!
ردحذفI love this dress and overall look, colours and style, though I agree with an above poster that better support would have made a pronounced difference.
ردحذفMaxima's height and stature can carry this dress and look and I'm happy to see the return of her signature large hats for this event. Once in a while is very appreciable. There are some other beautiful photos on her social media.

Hat and gloves and a bad bra. Máxima thinks that you have to dress up to be a queen. It is totally anachronistic how this queen dresses. Someone should tell you that this is Europe.

حذفThe umpire line of this dress is not flattering to her figure. She needs more space between the yoke and the umpire cut of this dress. The color and print are good on her but the cut is wrong.
ردحذفI truly like this dress, the cut is very flattering and feminine and showcases her tall and great figure, if only she would wear a good bra…I think she would look fantastic, love the shoes and clutch, again why does she have to carry a shawl, that doesn’t seem to be worn? And those gloves? both are distracting and clutter her image. In any case I like her outfit very much on this occasion

As always, too much of everything and everything in the same colour to add insult to injury…... The dress in itself I do not find particularly bad, if only she would wear a proper bra! The hat, however, is completely out of place here as well as the same old boring shoes.
ردحذفBut on the good old Dutch fan site ‘Modekoningin Maxima’ all members think this is beautiful. The Dutch do not have clue as far as style is concerned, and Maxima blends in just beautifully.

On second glance only I saw the rediculous gloves again. Oh my, a very fragile and thin summer dress, expertly ruined by a rediculous hat, heavy leather gloves, shiny pantyhose and not matching, wintery shoes, and too much bling bling. This dress asks for a simple ponytail, and sandalettes with thin straps, and a good BRA.

Not all Dutch have no clue about styling 😉 There are a lot of Dutch people who don't like Maxima's clothing and style and who criticise her fashion choices. They just don't always vent that online.
حذفI don't like the website you mentioned. For so far as I know, the posts are written by Josine Droogendijk. She also writes in magazines about royal fashion (focused on Maxima, no surprise) and never criticises anything. About that you're right: It's all great, beautiful and awesome. It really annoys me 🤭 It makes me wonder if *she* actually has no clue about style either or is blind to see it when it comes to fit and cut, bad combinations, wrong accessories, hair, etc. And so seem to be her followers.

ردحذفLove the hat, the gloves, the bag, the shoes (think the shoes matching the bag would have been more impressive!). Overall, I like the dress, though mustardy yellow is not my favourite colour. I rarely notice poorly fitting undergarments until someone else points this out, but, given the transparency of the dress, a better bra is needed. Overall, it's a lovely cheery summer outfit
ردحذفI really like her wearing hats, they suit her and keep her hair in place, but she has to pick the occassions to do so better. This is an indoor event and a hat is over the top and not appropriate.

I love the dress. The color is an unexpected choice for summer. I like the color of her clutch and mismatched earrings. The shoes are gorgeous and the color matches the dress but the material is wrong. I wish she ditched the gloves.

ردحذفWhy? That is a stunning hat that a tall woman can wear often. I know many ladies who wear similar broad rimmed hats and they look great in them.

I this is a really good look today. Personally I like the vibrant colour and the matching shoes. The hat is fabulous and just finishes the outfit off beautifully. I too would ditch the gloves and the shawl.

ردحذفIf the waist was at the waist and the colour a bit less musturd-y (and instead maybe a bit more beige or bronze), I´d like this quite a bit. The contrasting purse and earring are a good idea. The shawl needs to go. Maybe the hat as well.
