Dutch Queen Maxima opened the Children's Biennale at the Groninger Museum on Tuesday morning, June 1, 2021. The Netherlands’ first ever Children’s Biennale is a large interactive art exhibition made for and by kids from the Netherlands and abroad. The exhibition takes place at the Groninger Museum from June 2 to January 9, 2022. Thirty children's ambassadors from the province of Groningen contributed to the creation of the artworks and the layout of the exhibition.

In the run-up to the exhibition, the children contributed by writing information about the works of art, and together they determined the layout and learned about marketing and how to give a tour. The children also paid a studio visit to the participating artists. During the opening, Queen Maxima was given a tour of the exhibition and talked to the artists and the children's ambassadors.

This is a very strange combination, to say the least. Although I like the mixture of pink and orange, pyamas with a hat, other than a night cap, are ......... out of the box, to put it mildly. This outfit could work on the beach though, throwing the pink suit over one’s bikini, and complete it with a large sunhat, heading for a cocktail at the beach bar. I can picture myself doing that in this combi.

  3. Maxima woke up so late she had to clamp on a hat and rush off in her pyjama's.
I like the orange and pink colours together but that is all I like just the colours.

In this case very much less would definitely have been more. OH house of Natan when are you going to learn to fit and sew properly?

Agree ! Kind of like she remembered she needed a hat and grabbed the first one that looked vaguely ok.

Agree! The hat and gloves are too much. The necklace and earrings fantastic and look great with this outfit.

I like the outfit's style and colour but not the orange colour of the hat, purse and jewellery. However I like the understated style of the jewellery (giving the chunky metallic stuff a break). If only it had been a different colour (pale pink or cream would have been nice).

  7. I've always liked this outfit, but the hat is simply too much. If she wanted to wear some headgear, why not use a headband in a matching colour?

It looks like restrained Maxima is gone. She has ticked off every category on the list of accessories, including suede gloves. The colors are lovely, but that is about it. I can only wonder if she did this to give the children something fun to look at. ~d

  9. Fantastic look from Queen Maxima! She’s wearing angel skin coral and pearl jewelry which is stunning. Angel skin color is light pink and very rare to find. The Queen is a breath of fresh air!

  10. Je n'en suis pas certaine mais je crois que les perles du collier sont en nacre ; très joli support à la fleur du même style que les boucles d'oreilles ; le tout est très printanier !

  11. Can someone tell me why tucking a part of your blouse/top in the waist of your pants, while leaving the rest of it on the outside, is fashionable? Here in the US teenagers and young women do this and, to me, it looks sloppy. In this post, I see that both Maxima and the model have tucked the tail of the top into their pants. On a positive note, I love the colors and don't mind the hat. I like her earrings but question whether the necklace is strung pearls or some composite material.

    1. "blouse in pants" is trendy as far as i could see. It appears often as an innovative way of wearing a T-shirt.

  16. Just looking at these photos cheers me up. Great colour for this exuberant lady, and I like the wide trousers too. Okay so the hat is a bit of astrange colour match but for Maxima it works. Love the pearls.

Queen Maxima looks stunning; she has put style and pazzazz all in one; she is cheery and that is what people are wanting. The jewellery is chic.

  19. What a spectacular look! The Queen looks happy and energetic. The top and pants fit her perfectly and the hat is the crowning glory. Her jewelry is just right for the outfit.
