On June 28, 2021, Queen Letizia of Spain attended the opening ceremony of 'World Blindness Summitt Madrid'21' at the ONCE headquarters in Madrid. The Queen also gave a speech during the opening. The world's leading experts and organizations concerning visual disability, from 190 participating countries take part in the summit held by the ONCE Social Group from 28 to 30 June. The summit will also take place online.

ردحذفThe skirt could be nice, without this impossible hemline that does not seem to want to go away ... . But this busy pattern is too much if it extends from top to bottom. For this type of skirt I would choose a top with a deeper neckline and definitely not a shirt complete with a collar. The skirt is "romantic", the shirt is the exact opposite of it. Letizia looks good not because of this outfit but despite of it, because she manages to look good in whatever she chooses to wear. (-Ann.)

Good to see the Queen in something a little more exciting than the dull creams, beiges and blacks of most of the other women at this meeting. Lovely shoes to give a pop of colour. However, I agree with ck that the print is just too busy and the uneven hemline doesn't help

A crisp white men's type shirt would be a good look for the next outing for this skirt. The pattern is a welcome departure from her normal choices of solid colors. The red shoes add a contrasting pop of color. Well done!

The queen looks nice here. I wish there was a middle ground between the spike heel and the espadrille, for many royal ladies. A lower or more substantial heel or a platform shoe. Generally we don't see much variety in the shoe choices. I washiping for the Duchess of Sx to bring something but alas it was more platform spike heels.

ردحذفIt is almost the 3rd time she has worn this dress, I wonder how people can't remember It and speak about It again. Since a year and a half ago, most outfits are repeits, only 3 or 4 new.

@Louise, yes she is repeating outfits for all the good reasons, first and foremost and after the hard time that the country has had with the pandemic, it would seem a little insensitive to be making a display of ostentation while the citizens have been going thru a horrible experience. Secondly, the monarchy in Spain has had a very rough time given the issues with the emeritus king, and again discretion in spending seems wise. Thirdly, I applaud her for repeating outfits just like any other woman in the world, Letizia is proof that she is just not a good dresser but also a woman of substance.
