On June 3, 2021, Princess Margriet of The Netherlands attended the christening of the "Official Invictus Games The Hague 2020 Tulip" in the garden of Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn. Princess Margriet, who is honorary chair of the committee of recommendation of the Dutch edition of The Invictus Games, christened the tulip.

Invictus Games The Hague 2020 have been postponed twice and will now take place from April 16-22, 2022. From the first postponed edition, the Invictus Tulp has been the symbol for this successful international sports event for physically and/or mentally injured military personnel. Grown by tulip growers Jan and Jose Ligthart of Den Helder, this tulip represents, among other things, the invincibility of the competitors.

Sorry, but that dress is just not fashionable, or nice looking. I am sure she has much nicer clothing. jj

  2. I think the dress is pretty, her necklace is interesting, her red shoes are gorgeous, and her white bag is perfect. Well done, Princess Margriet.

Sorry but the print of that dress is too busy, and I don't think she needs to wear such a necklace it makes the outfit even more overdone. mjt

I never heard of christening a tulip. Is this common in the Netherlands? I like the abstract tulip print. Perfect for this event. I don't love the floral detail on her necklace.

Do not like her earrings or the dress. Shoes are dated. cath

Probably not the most fashionable or stylish dress, but it's totally agreeable because of the pattern: tulips for the tulip. At least I like the idea. She has beautiful legs and this knee length gives her more length. My only quipple is the necklace, not needed. -Siri

  8. I love this outfit, including the necklace, the shoes and the earrings. Is it because of her age that some people on the site criticize the outfit? Older ladies should be allowed as well to wear poppy colours and prints!

Dress is not very appropriate, is not covered in tulips, but big red blobs. Earrings and necklace tacky, while shoes though a nice color are dated as is the white bag slung over her shoulder. cami
