The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited Cartier's workshop located in New Bond Street in London. The purpose of the visit was to mark the centenary of the London workshop. Cartier has had a long relationship with the Royal Family ever since they received their first Royal Warrant from the great-great-grandfather of The Prince of Wales, King Edward VII in 1904.
Lovely dress on Camilla. Simple and summery. The thin white side panels give it a good illusional shape too. Very clever.

Fully agree, one of her best ever dresses IMV
DeleteI agree with you both. Definitely one of her best, the cut is very flattering. I am just ignoring the “Matilda-like” matching mask, imagining a more subtle, solid mask.

Love the dress, it's beautifully classic and understated, it fit Camilla like a glove, she looked wonderful. C.R.
ReplyDeleteThe duchess wears a very lovely dress !

Always the same style but in a different colour. There must be other things she can wear. A contrasting colour of shoes and handbags would be nice too... I liked her in the green dress lately. M.J.
DeleteThe Duchess looks fabulous. The small black and white print fabric of the dress, and the white trim along the front, and on the sleeves and down each side, are flattering. The soft pleating of the skirt is nice too. The QEQM's rock crystal brooch is well placed, but her gold necklaces are superfluous and diminish the effect of the pretty brooch.
ReplyDeleteYes, the only scribble I also have out the whole look is the necklace which is abundant and distracting. Maybe the same style, but imo this is the best execution of it the duchess has ever worn; she looks marvellous.

Agree with you both, Debra and MCS. Camilla looks great.
DeleteCamilla's dress is lovely. Good idea about the white eye-catcher. I do not like Prince Charles' suits & shoes, although always expensive quality. Fashionwise he should have a look to King Felipe of Spain :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an elegant couple! Prince Charles is, as always, such a dapper gentleman. The Duchess looks lovely in this black and white dress--very pretty and I like the design features.
ReplyDeleteCamilla looks lovely in her pretty dress, the white panels are nice accents to break up the design. The face accessory in the same design is a bit much. To my eyes, Camilla is looking a bit slimmer lately. ~Laurel~
ReplyDeleteMore of Camilla in her tried and true style. The white trim on the patterned dress is nice, but the matching face mask? A plain white mask or regular surgical mask would have looked better.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting tired of these fashion accessoire masks and wish for them to be a thing of the past!
Dear Camilla, I really like this dress--it's a great print, very fresh and summery but could you POSSIBLY consider some other shoes??
ReplyDeleteShe could but if you have feet that kill you in most shoes and you have finally acquired a few pairs that are very comfortable and you have walked them into submission. That is all you are going to put on your feet when you know you have to stand around on them al lot and do some walking and the shoes have to be reasonably dressy. At least these plain beige ones are not the two-tone ones. I like the dress on her too I think it suits her.
DeleteAgree with you Nalerina. As we age, our feet often become more sensitive.
DeleteMaryel
P S Not the two tone ones! They're worse. New shoes, please!
ReplyDeleteCamilla looks nice and summery ;I prefer her in patterned lighter coloured materials; shoes are fine. Charles looks as dapper as ever. I wonder if they looked at the diamond earrings; or commissioned a new tiara, you can never have too many tiaras.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Charles wearing a flower in his jacket? He seems to be doing this a great deal lately. I seem to be in the minority today, I do not like the dress Camilla is wearing. It appears she is trying to update her look, but this one just does not work with the white fabric along the sides. I feel it is over kill in trying to make her look a thinner, or create a thiner dress line The white line cheapens the look of the dress. cami
ReplyDeleteOh my favourite royals. Camilla looks very chic again and Charles also looks very classy dressed. Nice couple. Frieda
