On June 3, 2021, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended the 250th anniversary of the birth of Norwegian lay preacher Hans Nielsen Hauge. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess also attended the opening of Hope Cathedral and visitor center in Fredrikstad. Born in Fredrikstad in 1796, Hans Nielsen Hauge is known for creating the Christian movement organisation, Haugean, which gained reasonable influence and popularity throughout the country.

ReplyDeleteThe dove-like bird print, and the tiny cross earrings seem most appropriate for the occasion. Her hair is very nice too, and, of course, Prince Haakon is very handsome. They've had a busy few days and they look healthy and happy. Good to see that.

What a lovely colour and pattern for the dress. I think she looks very good here, although perhaps a slightly darker lipstick would have been an improvement. (V.M.)
